  1. Fong update on Lott Lucas (Texas) Panther Creek Rivals five-star athlete Jalen Lott committed to Oregon in July. He doubled-down on his pledge to the Ducks after a return visit to Eugene in November. However, Lott did not sign his letter-of-intent as planned on Wednesday. A couple sources told Rivals on Thursday morning it was because of contract language. However since then a source said if Oregon was able to flip five-star receiver Chris Henry Jr. from Ohio State, it could potentially alter things with Lott. Rivals insiders are predicting the Ducks to flip Henry. If the latter is true, I’d keep an eye Texas and USC for the Longhorns legacy recruit as he was a top-of-the-board guy for both. I think more might be happening with Texas right now. Miami tried to push for Lott during the fall. LSU was a finalist too. Would expect them to circle back too if they aren’t already. Rivals ranks Lott as the nation’s No. 2 athlete and No. 16 prospect overall. Over the last two seasons Lott has 172 receptions for 2,391 yards and 36 touchdowns.
  2. IT with additional updates on Lott and Henry (USC is doing some wild things this cycle)
  3. Any NFL future he has is probably as a 3rd down type back while being a special teams demon. Probably comes down to what this RB class looks like compared to 2027 and if he could be a late Day 3 guy.
  4. Cross posting from the 2026 roster thread. FCB put out some info about guys making decisions: Wisner- Considering turning pro Moore- Considering turning pro Muhammad- Considering turning pro, likely to do so Hill- Most likely of anyone to turn pro Kanu- "I'm hearing Kanu wants to turn pro but might be willing to listen if Texas shows him how much he's appreciated." McDonald- "sources indicate Texas is making an attractive offer to entice McDonald to return for his senior season in 2026, and from what I've heard, McDonald is seriously considering returning next season." Endries- "Endries walked for Senior Night, raising questions about if Texas had low-balled Endries in terms of NIL money for 2026. We'll see." Robertson- "Robertson walked for Senior Night, indicating the former Austin Westlake O-lineman might be ready to move on." Brad Spence- Good chance to return Goosby- Good chance to return

  6. Matt Painter and Purdue aren’t letting good players walk. Should have seen it coming.
  7. Traore is going to get eaten alive in SEC play. Another Ze’Rik Onyema.
  8. Ohio State is getting punched in the balls today. Dixon-Wyatt flipped to USC, Legend Bey flipped back to Tennessee and now their best prospect in the class is flirting with Oregon and Texas.
  9. Nahlin on Chris Henry I just talked to @SteveWiltfong who is traveling but working the phones. He's hearing on his side that Texas' aggressive offer is resonating. He's not ready to put in an RPM but Texas is definitely in it. We both have concerns about the relationship angle but, again, Texas is being aggressive. Texas' effort level was the main reason I brought this to the board's attention.
  10. I would hope not. Just signing kids you don’t really want for numbers sake shouldn’t be happening.
  11. Wasn’t Berrymon basically dropped from the class? Someone mentioned he had a knee injury and didn’t look like the same player.
  12. From Wiltfong Update 3:40 CT: On3’s Pete Nakos has confirmed that Texas has made a big NIL offer to Chris Henry. The intel still favors the Ducks right now with the Buckeyes also still in the picture.
  13. Just got a prediction to Texas from Wiltfong https://247sports.com/player/karnell-james-46149925/
  14. Letting Ojo play us like a damn fiddle while decisions were being made across the country was not great.
  15. Jai Lucas and Miami took it to Chris Beard last night
  16. Indiana played Old Dominion, Indiana State and Kennesaw State in non conference play. Schools I didn’t even know had a football program until this year. It is ridiculous a school can do that and be evaluated in the same sandbox as a Texas or Ohio State.
  17. Wisner himself should know and understand that how he has been used the last few years is not optimal or sustainable. If he wants to go try to get 20 carries a game somewhere else, let him because he ain't getting that here in 2026.
  18. Funny how DeAndre Moore said he looked up to and molded himself after Jordan Whittington, and basically everything he has done the last two years is the opposite of what Whittington would do. Daylan McCutcheon can probably offer somewhere in the same ballpark of what Moore did at 1/3rd the cost and that's before you factor in any portal additions. I really can't think of many moments the last few years where Moore did something that the average college receiver couldn't do. Most of his production comes on stuff that is schemed up.
  19. I'm not too interested in running off a sophomore receiver who caught 50 balls for 770 yards unless he is asking for Cam Coleman money or something ridiculous. Our OC didn't even properly utilize him until October. This feels like some of the same commentary you heard about Worthy after his sophomore year (gadget guy, athlete trying to play receiver, inconsistent hands) and I'm glad we didn't run him off.
  20. That reminds me, it is so damn stupid that active Athletic Directors are on this committee determining playoff spots. The entire committee should be former coaches, players, people who actually know the game. Hell, get Joel Klatt in there. Not fundraisers who hand out dumb coaching contracts every few years.
  21. Justin Wells on Corey Wells: Auburn is working overtime to try and flip both Corey Wells and his brother, 2026 linebacker Chris Wells (three-star South Alabama commit). While Texas has not offered Chris, he does have a spot at Texas waiting for him and some offsets the blur lines between walk-on and scholarship player. Texas has a good chance to hold on but we're watching what happens with Auburn's defensive coordinator. If Alex Golesh retains DJ Durkin at defensive coordinator the road gets a little more difficult as Durkin has a solid relationship in place. With the expectation of losing Vodney Cleveland, Texas is working overtime to keep the highly talented 6-foot-5, 330 pounds Wells. He possesses significant upside at a position that is always a need.
  22. Florida isn’t letting Jaden Baugh leave. Sumrall singled him out in his opening press conference by name. Probably time to let that pipedream go. For Coleman, it probably comes down to the ability to sell him on fixing the QB spot to make sure he has a good draft year. That veer and shoot offense Golesh is bringing is super WR friendly.
  23. Looks like we were 56th in the first NET rankings last year. Climbed as high as 25th before finishing 40th.
