  1. Also wearing Cookie Monster pajama pants during 7 on 7s
  2. Night 1 was for the adult fans with the smark darling triple threat ME. Night 2 was for kids and casuals. Kids care about Travis Scott, even if middle age white dudes don't. The kids will be talking about Travis Scott getting hit with a Crossroads and costing Cody the title. This is how WWE makes new wrestling fans. The booking of Cena-Rhodes was just classic rasslin'. If you've watched as much wrestling as I and other autists, the tropes were super familiar (ref bump, exposed turnbuckle, celeb distraction) and we could see them coming from a mile away. But we weren't the main audience either. My main gripe about the ME applies to pretty much the whole industry in that finisher spam bores me at this point
  3. While we're bitching about overused silly draft tropes, I beg some people to consider retiring the phrase "will get a GM fired" when talking about a questionable draft pick. Good and bad GMs make bad draft picks every single year. Those GMs will get fired for reasons unrelated to the outcome of a single draft pick message board posters don't like
  4. Maybe grab a safety because Jonah Williams is a superstar on the baseball team, and whatever that means for his football future
  5. Kuzma with the largest Billion in NBA playoff history. 22 minutes, no stats
  6. This lineup with Jonah at the top and Max back would be insane. Arod 7th? Arod-Gasp-Borba is a phenomenal 7-8-9
  7. Poetry
  8. My gf screamed when that happened that gif has become the language
  9. I love college baseball. I love MLB also, but to me it's a different game. College baseball seems like the highest level of the game we all grow up playing whether it's select, rec ball, whatever
  10. Rewatching this with my girl...who's never seen it but loves crime shows, etc. I watched it myself the first time a couple years ago the whole thing in about a week. We're taking a slower path, but just got through S1. Man, what a groundbreaking show. I'm not saying anything new here but I like to imagine what audiences in 2002 were thinking as this played out. Episode 11 with "WHERE WALLACE AT" and Avon getting cuffed in front of String who walked had to have them buzzing. All the greatest season debates I think shortchange S1 because the first few episodes are kindof grindish and a ton of exposition. But the show hits its fucking stride about midseason and then its iconic moment after iconic moment. You can't turn it off. All the greatness of seasons 2 and 4 (my personal fave although gutwrenching) are made possible by what is set up in Season 1
  11. He showed them where to put the L
  12. Burns looks like a damn SEC relief pitcher
  13. I stand by my Elly comp with his swing and twitchiness
  14. Jonah looks like a shorter Elly DeLaCruz
  15. Ozempic has turned the women of LA into dried up skeletons
  16. I think Quinn might have done better transferring to a team with a more simplified, one read offense. Sark's offense is very complex and he seemed to have trouble processing. Wouldn't prepare him for the pros any better except maybe building back his confidence. Either way, it seems clear he left a lot of money on the table foregoing his last year of college eligibility
  17. Bama got hosed on a called 3rd strike with 2 on and 2 out. Coach got run and they fell apart defensively in the 7th. LSU up 8-5 mid 7
  18. This high school team in California-Corona has 6 dudes committed to SEC schools, although 2 of them are gonna get drafted top 10 and skip college. When I watched them an uncommitted sophomore lefty dominated for them on the mound. This fucking lineup 1. CF LSU committ. Jr. Dreads. Leads team in slg% 2. 1B/P/OF Auburn commit. 3. 3B/SS LSU commit probable top 100 pick 4. Seth Hernandez Vandy commit. Top 5 pick 5. 2B/SS Aggy commit. Jr 6. SS Billy Carlson. Tennesee commit. Top 10 Pick 7. 1B Creighton commit
  19. UCLA is also like Miami in that its a great city with lots to do. If a team is winning then they can sell tickets to casuals. But the Rose Bowl is 45 minutes away from UCLA campus, more like an hour 15 on Saturdays. So it doesnt lend itself to a culture of student attendance and school spirit, which is what keeps college football programs sustainable
  20. The move from behind the plate has not been good to him. He looks alot like Jose Abreu did two years ago, although Abreu was 3 years older than Willson is now. I agree they'll continue to run him out there
  21. Cardinals look pretty solid for a 9-9 team. They lead the league in BA and when they give up on Contreras they are the only lineup in baseball without any holes BR has them at 0.1 odds to win the WS. Seems like decent value
