  1. Looks like Lemon had 3x as many catches as Moore, with 13 TDs to Moore's 9, and averaged 7 yards less per catch. Is Moore not getting open or something? Dropping an insane amount of balls? Or is Lemon by far Nelson's favorite target? Combination of all of it? Main point for me, is that I can't look at those stats alone and say "oh, pass on this guy" as the poster felt the information would support. I'd first ask how that offense is spreading the ball. Then you'd tell me there's a 5 star receiver on the other side with far more targets. Then I'm really interested.
  2. So in 10 games, the guy had 9 touchdowns on just 26 offensive touches. 22 yards per reception? I dunno about UTWookie and srkdlkncoiwerx69 or whatever, but to me that's pretty fucking impressive. So I guess the "Worrisome" part are the 483 total yards? Only 22 receptions? That could be for many reasons.
  3. If I do fine grind I try to leave it in decent sized chunks when browning and cooking, then break it up more toward the end if it needs it. Have never tried it raw like that, but sounds interesting.
  4. ooh now that's something I might look into.
  5. I have done the "drip chili" or whatever it is before in my WSM. You basically smoke your grind in large chunks over your pot which catches the drippings. Once it's almost fully cooked you add it to the pot with all of your liquids and seasonings and veggies or whatever and break it up, then cook. You can leave the lid off for a bit and some smoke will get in. Personally, it was more smoke than I'd prefer in my chili. Now, SOMETIMES when I make a chili that is half-grind half-chunks, or a beef stew, I'll part my roast I use for the chunks into 3-4"-ish chunks and cool-smoke them for a little bit before cutting them up and browning on the stove. That gets just a hint of smoke into your chili or stew that is perfect.
  6. I'm sure he has spent some time there, as his dad coaches a pretty important football team in the area.
  7. Uhm that uh, is kinda the point we've been trying to make here?
  8. And if he can still run a 5.0 at 250ish by the time he's in your program for a while, then that's not terrible for a TE, and also not indicative of overall athleticism. But I think I'm kinda going away from the discussion, so I'll tap out.
  9. A lot of decent college TEs who run around the 4.8 or lower.
  10. Not sure if anyone has answered you yet, but I'm going to say it's because he's not interested in us. I hope you finally have the answer you were looking for.
  11. Oh, it's gunna be some heavy bags headed his way. This is so huge for them on many levels.
  12. Not sure anyone really has a gouda answer for you...
  13. Easterby was brought in as your regular ole team chaplain/character coach guy, which wasn't too odd. But he was in the building at the time of Bob McNair's health problems and eventual passing, so rumor is that Cal and the McNairs personally leaned on him a lot, and that it took the relationship to a different level which ended in the Easterby gaining a little bit too much power. So yes, not the greatest judge of things, Cal. I really do wonder his deep down, personal feelings about Texas football, and how connected he feels to it. Just doesn't seem to be as big as I'd have hoped.
  14. Look, we're trying to get Cal McNair to dish out. You gotta understand him first. So he likes video games and christian music. We're almost there.
  15. McCown, also a Jesus guy, was one of Easterby's biggest bro's, who he wanted to bring in as HC (luckily Nick seemed to stand up against that one). As for drafting players because they're Christian or whatever, I don't really see that. It's not like Davis Mills is leading prayer outside of NRG every day. Now on the free agent side, there was a lot of talk of "The right guys," but a lot of players around the NFL are "really wanna thank god" types and such, so I'm not sure how much of that was going on. But yes, Easterby had no business being in the position he was in, and that's a direct reflection of the McNairs. Maybe telling Cal that Texas is God's team will help.
