  1. Putin's ROI on this Trump purchase has to be the most lucrative deal in history.
  2. Saw the Live Action Shorts yesterday. Felt it was a better crop than the Animated ones for sure. There was one I didn't really care about but enjoyed the rest. I would say A Lien and The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent were the best.
  3. Finished Season 4. This show is unbelievable. It's such a fun show and this season is just a hang out show. Very little hockey. No Sanguinet or JJ Frankie JJ, which is fine by me. I felt those were the lowest ROI characters.
  4. Hackman and Denzel going toe to toe in Crimson Tide is as good as it gets.
  5. How did that guy survive that vicious and flagrant foul?
  6. We had a weekly poker game at my house for years in the late 2000's. We pretty much rotated Anchorman, Snatch and The Big Lebowski. Always did the trick.
  7. I’m through 5 and that Santos woman needs to fucking chill.
  8. He’s going into TV right? Huh?
  9. Saw the animated shorts yesterday. There was one I didn't really like and the rest were variations of "Eh, that was fine". Pretty uninspiring.
  10. Saw it the other day. It was a pretty trash movie but I was entertained enough by it.
  11. Whatever you think of it, she has definitely made a choice and I respect the commitment.
  12. Margin Call is also an elite YouTube clip movie. You can easily lose an hour doing that.
  13. Companion - I didn't have whole lot of interest in this, but I kept hearing great things, so I took a shot. It's a really good and creative thriller. I would go in blind if you can, but I knew the premise and it still worked for me. I thought both the premise and the execution of the story were very clever and I was entertained the whole time.
  14. I thought Moody Center was a bit big for them, so I looked at the available tickets. They've sold MAYBE 15%-20% of the seats. I don't know who keeps putting these groups in way too large venues, but they need to give it up. I know The Black Keys had to trash a whole tour because of this.
  15. This is all correct. I heard Adam Newman on The Big Picture refer to one scene in particular (you know the one) as a “metafive”, as opposed to a metaphor, due to how on the nose it was.
  16. His “I don’t know what any of this shit is and I’m fucking scared” in the parking lot scene kills me every time.
  17. This hit the festivals last year and the buzz was that it was one of the funniest movies in years. The marketing is pretty interesting with the horror style but with pull quotes about how funny it is. I’m excited for it.
  18. That’s from the phenomenal movie “20 Feet From Stardom” about backup singers. What’s not mentioned there is that she was very pregnant and was woken up in the middle of the night to come to the studio to lay that down. Legend.
  19. I also appreciated he didn’t pull a Johnny Jolly and celebrate. He just ran back to the sideline since they were kicking their heads kicked in.
  20. I literally just checked and counted over 20 movies playing at different Alamos on Tuesday. About 10 or so were old movies that they were showing (Se7en, Scott Pilgrim, etc) and the rest were new. I counted one animated movie. There is always something new to see. Whether those things are of interest is up to you. There is going to be a fewer movies in the summer with a lot being comic book, cartoons or sequels but that’s been going on for decades at this point. September 5th - A chronicle of a sort of the ABC Sports television crew attempting to cover the terrorist hostage situation at the 1972 Munich Olympics. It thought it was really good and moved at a fast clip. Also, seeing the process of the coverage and the moral decisions they had to make was really interesting. Definitely recommend.
  21. Did the Adelsteins see Luka at a pro-Palestinian march or something?
  22. This won’t stand out on the resume at the end of the year but it 100% would if it was a loss. Definitely a Can’t Lose game and they got it done. The team is very streaky but when it’s humming, they’re fun to watch.
  23. I watched it again with my dad and enjoyed it more the second time. I did read the Live From New York oral history that came out like 20 years ago between viewings, so that may have been part of it.
