  1. I would have never guessed that LSU and MSU have lower acceptance rates than Ole Miss.
  2. Yeah, this. Plus, he's newer to football and from a small town in Mississippi. I'm not sure he'll be all that aware of a lot of the nuance and differences in schools or programs.
  3. I'd have to imagine he'll stay in state. However, maybe he'll appreciate that Texas was his first big offer and took a chance on him.
  4. Shout out to Rochester, NY! My parents grew up in Caledonia. I'm thankful every day that my dad decided to attend law school at Texas and I got to grow up in Austin instead of Western, NY.
  5. I'd love this region for Texas. Tennessee as the 1 seed and UCLA as the 2 seed are favorable for us.
  6. Monday: Kansas @ Baylor Tuesday: OU @ TCU OSU @ Texas KSU @ ISU Wednesday: WVU @ Tech Saturday is going to be fun:
  7. 247 on five-star WR Micah Hudson's visit. Not a bad start in this recruitment.
  8. Jerome Tang out here trying to win Naismith College Coach of the Year.
  9. Futureman is Ketch? Now, that would make a WHOLE lot of sense.
  10. This highlight tape is garbage. Not fast to the ball, takes horrible angles, and doesn't cover well. Looks like an even worse, JUCO version of BJ Foster.
  11. He had a brace on the left knee in the video where he got hit too. So, I'm not sure why people are saying it caused a preexisting knee injury.
  12. Speaking of the Alamo Bowl - If AD Mitchell joins the fold, one would assume Casey Cain is probably portal bound in the Spring window, yes? Cain's not ahead of a healthy Neyor or AD Mitchell, and Cook is probably better as a true freshman. Granted, there is a real possibility Texas loses four receivers after this upcoming season (Whittington is gone, Worthy probably leaves, and Neyor and Mitchell might leave with a decent seasons). The room is potentially looking devoid of proven talent. They'll obviously hit the portal hard next year, and I'm not sure there is sufficient NIL incentives for a JAGy guy who projects as the fifth or sixth-best WR in the room this year.
  13. With a win, Texas will either be in a three-way tie for first place (if KSU beats KU) or alone in second place (KU wins).
  14. That would be a shock to us all. Hunter (for whatever reason) has been a shell of himself, lately.
  15. Let alone all three of Duke, UNC, and UK. It happened last season, but it's becoming a short trend now. https://www.yahoo.com/video/ncaa-basketball-duke-unc-kentucky-out-of-mens-ap-top-25-for-first-time-since-1961-201005754.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAGVKrvpSD7142QmNtrY4xnEXbkvt1nMhhhhyLjqQvIKbhqN3k7STEIWXt0MqIrgV-CdV9kcdwLL9MWoleDv20k9apQPiy47u6MmNb4XJRtbk6rMzAoIFW2GZXypoOIXElrSnoJZhY7_f2IA75ZTCHK56ZsgvVBE37LKG8gkT3l8j
  16. Yep. If Texas starts slow on offense, plays subpar defense, and gets down early (for a third-straight game), I don't see another second-half run to eke out a win. Not against ISU at Hilton. We'll see. I think most of us (who follow closely) are expecting a loss, at a minimum.
  17. LSU isn’t very good this season, but Oats is still my top choice to replace Beard.
  18. Shitty three-point shooting by Tenn and a massive difference in FTs attempted sealed it for UK. Good win for Cal and team. Two ranked teams already fell to unranked opponents, and multiple other favorites who are currently trailing. Looks like it might be a weird day.
  19. Nope, you are correct. I do agree with this part of your statement. If Beard had been here for 10 years already with a couple of Final Fours and other tournament success under his belt, the timeline and decision-making process probably extends. However, I don't think you can compare basketball to football. Football makes substantially more money, so there might be a tad bit more leniency for someone like Saban or Smart. I bet Bama would fire Oats for the same thing. However, what if this was Coach K, Izzo, Cal, or someone else? I'm not sure what happens at other schools, but Texas seems to draw the line at domestic abuse. And you know what; I'm personally okay what that. Plenty of successful coaches don't seem to have these types of problems. In the end, no matter the hypothetical scenario, Beard is probably fired.
