  1. This one is weak on the supporting cast. We hear barely any mention of Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin ... Those men were doing things important to the Revolution. But Ken Burns, maybe he assumes that we watched his other documentaries.
  2. Thus proving the 'Great Man Theory.'
  3. By the first time our offense stepped onto the field we were up 21-0.
  4. That's the Sagarin we know and love. And I somewhat cynically embrace Notre Dame ranking bills mostly upon quality losses.
  5. I have never seen a box score like this. Starting qb attempted 9 passes. RBs 1&2 rushed 12 times. Those totals should be from 5 min left in the 2nd qtr. https://www.freeplays.com/box-score/2025/11/22/ncaaf/syracuse-vs-notre-dame/324256/ Notre Dame Rushes Yards Yards/rush TD Long Jeremiyah Love 8 171 21.4 3 68 Jadarian Price 4 70 17.5 1 58
  6. OTOH, Cincy gets the ball back, and did not even bother to try a forward pass.
  7. Yeah but style points for the PC?
  8. Not the same family!?
  9. The point of PAC After Dark is that there was usually a massive scrum to win the Pac12 South and make the CCG. Now these teams are buried in an 18 team league.
  10. Efficiency? Total yards are close but Cincy appears to be 1-10 on 3rd down.
  11. Penn St - Nebraska should be the rivalry game for Thanksgiving weekend, not that the BUG would allow another rivalry that week. They could play for the 1994 trophy. PSU interim coach actively campaining for the job following the win over mighty NU.
  12. Miller Lite? I believe it is brewed from rice?
  13. Are you thinking there will be two Big12 teams in the CFP?
  14. Now we need Michigan to lose to anOSU. Ohio already has a playoff slot locked up. But no one thinks the Buckeyes won't ball out to snap the losing streak in their regional rivalry.
  15. So needing two scores with 4 min left, SC finally tries a forward pass, on 4th down. Hey Lincoln idiot. You need a TD and an onside kick. Not to grind out a few first downs.
  16. SC had better get out of this conservative defense. And WTF not turning around by the CB for an easy pick.
  17. It's a nice reminder that when ND needs SC to do something, they will drop the ball one way or another.
  18. Miami called timeout with 2 seconds left so they could beat 3-8 VTech by 17 instead of 10. Little did they know abosultely no one will be talking about them Monday. Is Duke somehow still alive for the ACCCG?
  19. Every time I turn that game on SC either commits a proper turnover or gifts Oregon a 1st down with a penalty. Should we stop looking?
  20. Clear PI on Oregon on 3rd & goal in a game where the refs are/were calling everything. SC of course misses the FG.
  21. OU's win over Michigan seemed ho hum at the time. But if Michigan upsets anOSU again then it might drag both of them into the CFP.
  22. And while it was convincing win, Miami got its first score against Syracuse with 3 min remaining in the first half
  23. I'll give you ASU and UT. VT is 3-8 and Baylor is fringe .500. So, two upsets among the bottom 5? And IIRC Texas A&M played and beat the entire bottom 5. I would guess that this year is worse for your Mendoza line. In the recent era the top SECw teams visiting the SECe teams like @USCe, UK, was the danger zone. Spurrier even beat Saban once at USCe.
  24. If that was the case then the SEC would be an upset prone conference with quite a few OOC wins from the lower ranks. Neither is true.
  25. The SEC is very polarized this year, I think your game vs UF wa the only draw drop upset. Models like the Colley Matrix reward playing teams that won 20 and 3 games and don't reward a slee of 7-5 teams in the middle. That is Oregon's problem right now, they have played a large block of .500 teams and lost to Indiana. Beating USC and Washington will help although those teams will finish with three or four losses.
