  1. The *Rivalry* renews tonight in the rain.
  2. SCe's athletes look so much faster that I wonder if they have Michiganed VT's play calls.
  3. With a rb who throws a little, OT was their best bet.
  4. I count two uncalled fouls on N. (facemask at the end of 2nd down)/
  5. The 1961 film by Stanley Kramer taught me that I am and always will be a defense attorney. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judgment_at_Nuremberg
  6. In the early football video game days we had 4 passing and 4 running plays, with QB Bills. The golden play was to snap it to Frank Reich. I will root for his interim success in the rest of the games until Thanksgiving.
  7. Hmm. I will submit Agent 13 as my favorite character gag of that era. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/david-ketchum-dead-get-smart-agent-13-1236351427/
  8. Don't Knock Twice (2016). Starbuck is completely out of place in this British horror. Even when she reconnects with her long lost British daughter. bloody hell, their house is haunted by a ghost with claws. The film doesn't seem aware how badly Starbuck sticks out, I think they didn't want the viewer to notice. It does an okay job with dark halls and jump scares, but strongly signals the twist at the end. Nonetheless, some of us will always watch anything British horror or that actress.
  9. What wasn't broke.
  10. By the end of the season he will have vaulted the teams over the opponents that just beat them.
  11. Quite a few, that's what made it a special year. 2003 was also a special year, I recall Ebert saying so. But we will need to wait 50 more years to test the quality.
  12. It was always an odd marriage.
  13. Any reference to ND? Kelly 2.0 started in 2017 when then AD Swarbrick forced him to hire a new staff. Elko was DC, Lea was LB and promoted to DC the next year.
  14. That's basically true of most of the films discussed on the page, including some from the rest of the post.
  15. Also none of the usual cash involves football a football. These are stories about breaking the NCAA's particular version of amateurism. Signal stealing is much closer to the game itself.
  16. Close, the wolfies got to space out their grounded days over two years What Michigan did was serious and 'systemic' cheating with approval of the coaches. Maybe if you added a star for the usual cash from boosters. We got vacated wins for players secretly getting too much help from a tutor. Michigan keeps their 'official' #1 in wins for designed cheating.
  17. The criteria seem to be the top one or two in conference. Tennessee is the historic SEC#2 and should be on that list. The Vols were down for so long that many younger fans believed that UF or UGA had always been the 2nd best team. I get naming only one BB from the PAC and SWC since there was a logjam at the #2 slot. But the SEC only has one!?
  18. I always get those two confused.
  19. I would joke about playing A&M = ranked team win, but they have been trading blows since that 7OT game in 2018. Is this a protected rivalry? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LSU–Texas_A%26M_football_rivalry#Game_results
  20. I doubt all of that STEM project money is fungible for anything else.
  21. From our game the Trojans were fairly unbalanced and vulnerable between the tackles. They probably did have some injuries. Their skilled positions weren't nearly good enough to compensate as in years past.
  22. The year of Rosemary's Baby, 1968, also had 2001, Night of the Living Dead, Vixen, Boston Strangler, Vixen. A fairly scary year. A pretty good list of other genres too https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_films_of_1968
  23. And if it's not Roe v. Wade; tell us the holding.
