  1. I have 2 months. I don't give a shit about a day.
  2. I am all about value. We have flights to HNL in November on Southwest for 8800 points each. From there in February will be flying Delta to Japan roundtrip for 45,000 points +$50 each (if I don't find something better by then). I really don't give a shit about the airlines. They are just a utility to get me to Hawaii and to Japan. I would rather spend the money on food and entertainment.
  3. The weird thing is trophies end up in landfills. Such a quandary.
  4. The only line I draw is the safety of a small, foreign airline. We took 5 Ryan Air flights last winter and the first one I pretty much had a panic attack during takeoff. I was thinking with what we paid for these flights how much are they paying their pilots? But all of those flights ended up being great. I don’t know if I could fly on a discount airline based out of some third world country though.
  5. Yup. Definitely a culture shock coming from Texas but next time I know what to expect and won’t give a fuck. We took a cheap Ryanair flight from Malta to Italy. In front of us several rows before takeoff there was a ruckus. There was an Italian guy standing up at his seat yelling at a lady one row behind him across the aisle. She got up and was yelling back at him. She had a little kid with her. Flight attendants came back and were talking to them. They kept yelling at each other using some hand gestures. No clue what they were saying but it had something to do with the overhead luggage. I joked to my girlfriend they were probably married. We are in the airport waiting for our shuttle bus to come. There is only one other family in there waiting. It was them with their kid.
  6. IMO, she is a cunt. A guy has to act on signs that are given from a woman. If a guy misinterprets those signs, ruining his life is not how you react. You tell him, "woah, you are going to have to stop right there. This isn't where I want this to go." It is very simple. For goodness sake, it is a phone call, not an in-person physical situation.
  7. Get 1000 miles away and wear a hat and a face mask and I am not sure how you can get caught.
  8. I don't do bumper stickers, but one with the Longhorn logo and the words "SEC still sucks" would be a good one.
  9. This was a game where Milroe was running for his life.
  10. you saying it is like watching paint dry?
  11. i think the hair under his chin is actually growing up from his chest.
  12. I am really talking about in town where people want to ban them. On the trails, I do agree with you more of the OHV drivers do go faster than they should be.
  13. Lake City gets a lot of hikers from the Colorado Trail (Denver to Durango) come through. They sit by the road at Spring Creek pass and hitch the 20 minute ride into town to stay a night or two and then get a ride back. We always pick them up when driving by there. Got 6 of them in at one time once. Yeah almost had to 'seinfeld' the vehicle after that one. One of the churches has a weekly Sunday hiker dinner and a hiker center where they can go and get snacks and stuff. Also it is a stop for bikers doing the Trans-America trail coast to coast.
  14. I don't mind them. I have been on the loop a few times in other's side by sides. They are better than jeeps for the trails. They are more open and you just get a better peripheral view of everything. But there are people that hate them. The main thing is the noise. They are a lot louder than jeeps. The other thing is the sheer number of them. They come in groups. They kick up a lot of dust. Certain people don't like the type of people who generally ride in them. American flags, etc. The detractors say they speed and drive stupid, but I think they are just looking for things to be annoyed about. They aren't driving any faster thru town than any other vehicle.
  15. Riding on the Alpine Loop in OHV's or jeeps is the other reason people go there. Since Silverton banned OHV's in town starting last year, they have all gone to Lake City. July and the first few weeks of August are very busy now. I have been in Lake City since mid-May and leaving in October. Some people will love it, some people will be bored af.
  16. I hope this coming Saturday isn't his time of the month.
  17. Yeah we just did the drive a couple days ago from Montrose to Ouray to Silverton to Durango to Pagosa Springs. Whole area is beautiful and between all those places you can find any mountain activity you want.
  18. Been on 2 cruises. 1 out of Galveston, 1 out of San Francisco. SF was noticeably worse, though leaving that city was pretty amazing, with the view of the city, passing Alcatraz and going under the Golden Gate Bridge. But it was ghetto AF.
  19. We did Seville last December. Got an apartment for a month and absolutely loved it. Was amazing time to be there because every night there were thousands of people in the streets and there was so much to do during the Christmas season. We were able to do short trips to Cordoba, Carmona, Cadiz, Ronda. But I had heard summers can be pretty miserable. If I was going in the summer, I would definitely keep that in mind.
  20. In April, will be doing 14 straight days on boats. Hawaii to Vancouver, then Vancouver to Alaska. Not a vacation, just a way to get from Hawaii back to the mainland, see Alaska, and pay for room and food for 2 weeks. I go in knowing what it is all about. I actually liked the dining room food on Royal Caribbean the one time I went. I would not do this on Carnival though.
  21. What are your thoughts of the weather in March? We are thinking about going around then.
  22. The Burnt Bean menu reminds me. Best Mollejas I have ever had.
  23. Well you are doing Burnt Bean right. First time I went, we ordered brisket, ribs, sausage. Had a taste of someone's barbacoa and menudo. Holy shit. Only go back for brunch now and just get the barbacoa and menudo. I am sure the BBQ was really good, but don't care.
