  1. Beautiful Sunday evening wade. Water has cooled significantly which is very nice. Love, love, love me some October!
  2. -bump- Heading to Red Rocks at the end of July for Tedeschi Trucks Band. Any new recommendations post-covid?
  3. Me and a buddy with a late evening wade yesterday. Mostly dinks and a few bait stealers but we got these 5. All but one 20+ with the biggest at 23. Beautiful evening after the morning rains.
  4. 3 sharks on 4 cuts of skipjack in about 45 minutes. I forgot to load my damn drink cooler so I didn’t stay long. Another beauty day at the jetties and beyond though.
  5. This is a good recommendation. If you dont want to eat at the bar they might be able to fit you in after a couple of drinks. The wait will be worth it. Some of the best service you will ever see at a restaurant.
  6. Sorry for so late to the thread but the answer to the original post would be #13 at Pelican Rest Marina (just over the causeway). Rudy & Pacos and Vargas as previously mentioned are cant miss as well.
  7. Yes its good but it seems like they have quadrupled prices since they first opened. It was a great “hole in the wall” type when they first opened but now are in the tourist price gouging business in my opinion. But you most likely wont be disappointed. Good service.
  8. Still haven’t re-opened. Haven’t heard of any new news regarding doing so.
  9. Shearns is the Steakhouse on top of the hotel. Very nice but I would say secondary to #13 and The Steakhouse at San Luis.
  10. Ford’s union pension liabilities maybe? It has to be massive chunk of the balance sheet.
  11. My youngest wanted to go out and chum for some mankillers on Sunday. Nothing big but a couple of small twin blacktips kept him busy. Those little bastards are so hard to tire out I hate to image latching on to a couple hundred pounder. Makes my back ache just thinking about it.
  12. Got into Vegas yesterday about 4:30. Got checked in and got on the 2/5 list. Made a quick $200 money line bet on the Stros, grabbed a beer with the drink ticket and got right on a new 2/5 table starting up. It was hard keeping a good table together, mostly pros looking for easy marks kept picking up and moving tables. Got a few more recs as the night progressed. Doubled up pretty early with AK vs QQ but then lost $600 ish to an all in reraise to my $375 turn bet. I just had an open ender but due to the opponent thought that would take it down easily. I was wrong. Thinking he must have flopped a set and checked it. He didnt’t show. Couple hours later I was able to get it back against him with AQ vs KK. I flopped the Q and turned the A and he moved all in. Overall it was a pretty easy table with most of the pros hardly playing any hands and the occasional recs buying in light and dusting off. In for $500, out with $1,630. Quit about 11:45 and took a little walk on the Strip to soak in the sights and sounds. More updates to follow. Prolly not much poker today. Pool and then steak at the Wynn. Maybe go check out some of the day 2 $100k WSOP High Roller event and maybe play a couple hours at after dinner.
  13. The brought in a couple of those pigs to Pelican Rest Marina in Galveston last week as well. Not mine, taken from the Facebooks.
  14. The wind gave us a few open windows (not many) over the last week and a half. With how bad April and May have been so far, its nice to just get out on the water. Had a few decent pulls for the efforts. All on live shrimp in W Galveston Bay.
  15. Seemed to me he was planning the hit on Lalo by getting him down there some how. He plans on pulling the extension cords and killing the lights and then he counted the steps to the mini excavator (presumably to find it in the dark) and planted the gun under the track hub.
  16. Yes, they covered the Tech/Iowa St. game as well.
  17. Independent panel findings released: https://fishgame.com/2022/03/panel-releases-findings-on-bastrop-wildfire/ https://tpwd.texas.gov/publications/pwdpubs/media/TPWD-Prescribed-Fire-Recommendations.pdf
  18. Not too long cause we had some pretty heavy gear. Prolly 10 minutes or so. Thought we were gonna have to do some anchor rope gymnastics but we got her turned around in time.
  19. What, you couldn't put him on 7-4????? Man I thought you were better than that! 😂 You just have to laugh those off and move on to the next one, which I'm sure you did. I love playing with the kids who can't and you can just watch it eat them up the whole rest of the night.
  20. Igor is/was pretty famous on the poker scene. Married Liv Boeree (another poker celeb). Seems like he landed a pretty good staking arrangement from Elon.
  21. Wasn’t too thrilled about going out to the jetties in sub 50 degree weather but my son has been itching to go with nothing but school and work since October. Freezing ride out but fine in the sun when the boat wasn’t moving. No action for an hour and a half until this beast latched on to a cut whiting. Biggest I have personally seen. Measured out at 45” and bent the net neck getting her in the boat. Good times!
  22. Jambi and The Pot from Tool. Bar none my favorite songs to destroy speakers on.
  23. Seems like the same as Ramsey last year. Based off of his play (and not potential) I didn't see how he thought he could make it in the NBA. But I guess just getting drafted and earning a D league check might play into some of these decisions versus staying in school.

    Arc Angels!

They sounded really good. Played almost a full two hours. I can’t help but feel like they would be even better in a large club type stage versus an arena level stage since they don’t move around much but I’m glad I got to see them since I never had a chance during their original run.
