  1. Interesting map. What areas do you see having higher or lower participation in 2026 vs that of 2024?
  2. The video in the article about Cody Campbell is about the birth of the transfer portal. The article is pretty even handed, especially with regard to Campbell's missteps early on, and not being universally liked by Tech faithful. He adjusted. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/47412557/cody-campbell-booster-texas-tech-college-sports
  3. The Bucs/ Panthers on Saturday and the Ravens/ Steelers on Sun night are straight up playoff games in Week 18, winner advances. Loser cleans out the lockers. Then Niners and Seahawks on Saturday for #1 seed? Yeah, that's a great NFL slate for what can sometimes be skeleton crews and teams that have already quit on their coaches. I mean, WGAF about those Sunday daytime slots?
  4. It worked for New England... #1 seed always dominates. It's dumb to even play the games.
  5. You'd love his employer. No layoffs in the history of the company. Still privately owned. Yes, he develops code, as do others on his immediate team.
  6. Discussion with son who does code for a major financial technology company- "What percentage of your work involves AI?" "All of it now. But it lets us focus on the non-redundant bullshit" That being said, IMHO, it's like asking a car manufacturer what percentage of your assemblers use pneumatic/ electric wrenches? Is it different than turning the nuts/ bolts by hand? Yeah. Is in inherently bad? no. Is the productivity increased? Massively. Hell, Santa at our house ain't doing shit without a cordless screwdriver any more.
  7. Many in society can't laugh at themselves any more. Why would we laugh with anyone else? See also: the amount of anti-depressants used by Americans. Combine that with a massive victimhood mentality and there you go.
  8. If Regular Season has "instant classics" that would be a prime candidate. I am entertained, Maximus!
  9. Lol. Hyperbole much. Jiminy Christmas.
  10. Iceman replied to Derka's topic in Basketball
I'm all about players getting what they can. Love the portal and have from the jump. If they have played as a pro beyond the collegiate level, they should be ineligible for collegiate play, IMHO. Note: they didn't ask me.
  11. They are both Frito Lay products...which is weird, as far as duplication goes. I like these too.
  12. Have a very good friend in St Louis whose daughter just finished 1st Semester at KU. She is Social Welfare major and loves it. Dad says it's a big school with a small town feel

If they are from Eastern Europe, they are on the Utah teams or Illinois.
  14. on the math team? I can't remember the Pioneers ever doing shit in football. Their alltime PO record is 14-25-1. they made it to the Semis in '77.
  15. I would never have brought booze to my mom's house, but all bets were off when she came to ours. Same goes for my in-laws. It was never a big deal. Respect their wishes. Have what we would normally have at our place. People tended to hang out longer when everyone came to our house, and from that you can draw your own conclusions.
