So we need Obamacasa in addition to Obamacare, am I hearing that right?
OK. I'll quit fucking around> I have discussed before being in subsidized housing when I was a kid. We lived there 4 years until my mom got situated( she had been out of the job market for 20 years and then suddenly was a single mom with 3 kids.) Every day was an effort to get the fuck out of there and they were decent apartments in a decent part of town, as in, there weren't crime issues or whatever. IMHO, that is what "affordable housing" or subsidies should be for, even if there was no defined time limit, it should not run into perpetuity either.
As a taxpayer, I'm cool with that premise. Defined timelines with progress towards independence. Crazy, I know... The approach does not need to originate from "the gubmint has an endless supply of money." What's reasonable? 10 years? I know 4 isn't the answer.
I just take issue with the folks who feel like they are owed, and I know you know where I'm coming from. There were people who lived in those apartments in the 80's who probably lived there until they died. That's not cool either.
