  1. As long as we are bouncing Stroh around, might as well try him at QB for a series.
  2. Football is ninety percent mental. The other half is physical. -Yogi Berra --El Hornarino I do not know which option is the least terrible. Caldwell named starter for this week, "open competition" this week (not in the poll), or Arch to start but with a short leash. Which one best relieves him of the notion he needs to play perfect every down, while maintaining confidence? Regardless, he doesn't have it right now, and is looking more like a change of pace / short yardage QB rather than a full time starter. Hopefully our staff is more enlightened than I am.
  3. Texas 41 UTEP - 7 WR - 315
  4. 4 yards per carry is great if the plan is to run three downs in a row and not commit procedure or holding penalties.
  5. Texas 51 San Jose St 3 Rushing 235
  6. Offense was essentially a microwaved cow pie. Except for the awesomeness of Alan Jackson.
  7. Obviously someone needs a deal with Lamborghini Trattori.
  8. Texas was the first team to beat Ohio State in a night game at the horseshoe. More articles should mention that bit of trivia.
  9. That's just our halftime adjustments kicking in.
  10. Massey's simulation results: Texas 57 ASU 13 Texas 31 ASU 23 Texas 31 ASU 10 Texas 24 ASU 17 Texas 56 ASU 15 Texas 40 ASU 13 Texas 40 ASU 13
  11. I'm underwhelmed, given this is year four. It is not a single position group or player on offense that is the entire problem. It's a good thing the defense has been elite.
  12. He has had 3 top 10 offenses by FEI. 2008 USC (9), 2019 Alabama (2), 2020 Alabama (1). The 2020 offense had 3 Heisman finalists on it.
  13. OFEI 2007 USC - 20 2008 USC - 9 2009 Washington - 35 2010 Washington - 51 2011 Washington - 16 2012 Washington - 72 2013 Washington - 17 2014 USC - 14 2015 USC - 18 2019 Alabama - 2 2020 Alabama - 1 2021 Texas - 35 2022 Texas - 17 2023 Texas - 19 2024 Texas - 19
