Playoff spots are reserved for teams that will garner the highest ratings and the most ad money.
  2. Hmmm... Oscar Giles - Defensive Line Craig Naivar - Special Teams Coordinator/Safeties Todd Orlando - Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers Jason Washington - Recruiting Coordinator/Cornerbacks
  3. I think if we suited up 11 hooter girls there would be an improvement. Maybe not in S&P, but definitely in T&A.
  4. Would he get defenders to bring their legs and wrap up?
  5. There were a lot of shoe-less hillbillies though.
  6. I agree that the DL wasn't the problem, to the extent that they mostly do their assignment even if they don't blow anything up... Of course it is easy to not be "the problem" when the linebacker play this season has been woeful, with not much doin' over at nickel, and the safeties looking lost at least half the time.
  7. McCulloch comes in and plays brilliantly.
  8. The scheme is to be outnumbered and have zero defenders where the play is going. Will work out when we have god tier DL and LBs. Actually my question is what exactly is going on when we are losing by alignment on D. Are timeouts too valuable to ever use, or do they consider it on the job training when the defense gets gashed?
  9. I think a long time ago they always including the key, but here it is: So yes, for whatever reason you need a B to "pass." edit, which means here is the list of guys on D with passing grade: Omenihu, Hager, Nelson, Foster, Thompson. And only Foster was above bare minimum pass with B+.
  10. Perhaps. There are guys who are playing who don't know what their jobs are and try to make up with athleticism. If this guy is a freshman, ok, maybe cut them slack because they need to learn their job (nevermind that we are 8 games through the season). But if a guy is a senior and still doesn't know his job, and doesn't play with fundamentals, that is a huge problem. Then there are guys that don't know their jobs, and also can't make up for it with athleticism. That is even worse. So on any given snap, how many of the 11 defenders know what their job / responsibility are? Are they not being taught effectively? Do they actually know their job, but don't trust the other guys and try guess to make the play themselves? Talk goes to things like "I don't like 3 man fronts" or "I don't like 3-2 dime." I guess Madden it to 4-2 because... the 2 LBs don't know their job in 3-2, but they will know it when you put another DL in. Do we have enough DL to run out 4 at a time? Or do we take out a DB for another LB that can't beat out the 2 who aren't doing their job for 3-3, or add two for 3-4?
  11. Coach V grades for defense... gee who would guess that he would be saying nearly the exact same thing about the same defenders for nearly every game.
  12. Lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta whathaveyous. I would have probably kicked deep, at least if I knew that the team never really practiced an onside kick that wasn't a noodle legged attempt directly to the nearest okie.
  13. Yeah it will be a while until we have 11 guys on defense that know what they are doing.
  14. Nobody guaranteed this win before hand, so that has to be what screwed us.
  15. I wonder if there is a difference between KState and Texas defense with respect to playing assignments.
  16. That tacklebot is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop. Ever. Until you are down.
  17. I guess replacing him with Spurrier would improve the show too much for their liking.
  18. All Urban needs to do is fire at least half his staff.
