  1. This is my thought as well. I guess I kinda get the argument that this move sets precedent for all kinds of hypothetical good stuff at some hypothetical point in the future, but I’m just having a hard time giving much of a fuck about or taking any comfort in any of that. I want the bullshit that is going on now stopped dead in it’s tracks now, much more.
  2. re: parking - the surface lot of the commercial building directly across Hearn is open for F&R customers.
  3. another one i haven't seen mentioned here - GF and I have hit Fabi & Rossi for weeknight date night a few times recently. food is excellent, service has been top notch, ambience (for lack of a better term, i suppose) is great - there are probably 14 or so tables in there total (not including what looks to be a large party table in the back), in a charming old house. not loud at all, not crowded on top of other tables, and you can usually walk in and be seated right away (weeknights, anyway) . nice little patio area out front when the weather is nice. one of my favorite spots.
  4. shit man, i've been ready to riot for a long time now. i just feel like it would be kind of silly for me to do it all by myself.
  5. yes. and that same thing could be said about several dozens of things that have already happened during this administration. and here we are - not only is trump still in office, but between 40 and 50+ percent of the voting population supports him and will vote for him again no matter who the opponent(s) is/are (and my contention is that it is closer to 50 per cent, there are just less people willing to admit it publicly, thus skewing his poll approval numbers downwards), and there is a very strong chance he will be re-elected. so, yeah.
  6. damn, that sounds delicious. here, we are continuing our yearly tradition of going out for Conan's pizza,. last year we were the only customers in the place (RIP Conan's Guadalupe)
  7. ^^^^ not surprising. commented on this in the burgers thread a bit ago. sadz
  8. Bingo. The vast majority of the “pro-life” movement isn’t about “saving babies” at all. It’s about oppressing and controlling women, and the desire to shove hypocritical, fake/pseudo-Christian religious beliefs down the throats of others. That said, can we move back to how grossly incompetent and treasonous Trump and his entire administration is now?
  9. Lulz. Maybe if it were judged by who can throw out the most fifth grade level insults. Trump can’t even speak in full sentences or articulate a coherent thought unless it’s been written by someone else.
  10. The best and the brightest that the Republican Party has to offer America.
  11. this was a new one to me also. it sounds tasty, and it looks .... not good.
  12. This is why Republican voters love him.
  13. Yep. Johnny ShitSack will be along shortly to tell us all about it.
  14. You can have that perspective, and it doesn't faze me one bit. But the reality is I continue to positively impact hundreds of lives each year through my job and enjoy the mutual respect and gratitude shared with my students and colleagues. And now I’m going to go pack for my family's 10-day trip to Orlando.
  15. right, the drawback for me in terms of asti being a "date night" spot is, IMO, that most of the tables are right on top of each other. the two tops, anyways.
  16. same. love the linguine with clams and sausage and tomato. i could eat that once a week for the rest of my life.
  17. Yep. Or Cracker Barrel.
  18. So, most people are morons. Real breaking news there.
  19. tried this last night based on your post - i have always hit Pho Van when I'm over there - it was really damn good. will probably be my new go to.
  20. This guy is worse than Imagine Dragons
