  1. Octapharma Plasma has closed 150+ centers nationwide due to a suspected ransomware attack after “suspicious activity” was detected on their network.

All of their centers have been closed since Wednesday afternoon. For a plasma center to be closed this long is unheard of. Plasma centers stay open through ice storms, snow storms and floods, so being down for almost 7 days means their network was severely compromised. Every single donor SSN is in their system.

  2. In February 1939, more than 20,000 Americans filled Madison Square Garden for an event billed as a “Pro-American Rally.” Images of George Washington hung alongside swastikas, underlining the organizers' belief that Nazism was entirely consistent with American ideals.

NAZI TOWN, USA tells the largely unknown story of the German American Bund, an organization of Nazi sympathizers on American soil.

  3. I’m watching Joe Biden speak at the IBEW Construction and Maintenance Conference. He called the electricians the best in the world and the audience applauded lightly. Then he said Trump and MAGA didn’t build shit for 4 years and the applause seemed better and more genuine.

The attacks on MAGA seem to generate more response. Biden makes sense but it’s obvious his age is affecting his speaking. It’s baffling how people think Trump is higher functioning than Biden just because Trump “doesn’t talk like an old man” even though Trump says things that make absolutely no sense.

Biden’s speech ended with a chant of 4 more years but it just seemed kind of weak. I can’t tell if there was a lack of enthusiasm or if people were just taking in the reality of what Biden was saying about Trump. “Firing people is not entertainment, it’s a devastating nightmare to a family.” IMG_5376.thumb.jpeg.c65c3a9092d1113564d13b88250186b7.jpeg

Another horrifying part of social media is the amount of attention products can get due to content providers being investors/shareholders in these respective companies.

Less than 4,000 Cybertrucks have been delivered. I mean, holy shit. But constant support for the product online. If you go to the bios of any of these X accounts, the vast majority state they are Tesla investors.

Imagine having to deal with Geo Twitter back in the 90s as GM investors try to gaslight you into thinking the cars are awesome.

I’ve seen one State Rep from the valley selling Girl Scout cookies out of the back of his cyber truck while liking a bunch of Elon Musk tweets. His fans are everywhere.

I also like how Trump put "unlimited" in quotation marks like he got cut off from breadsticks at Olive Garden because he left the premises to go to Burger King and then came back for more breadsticks.  There's a John Pinetta joke in there somewhere.

also, we know he may very well get convicted on a lot of this stuff but will never see the inside of a jail cell.  But to game it out, since the Secret Service never thought this could happen in a thousand years...what would his cell situation be?  Obviously he would not be placed in GenPop, he'd have a solitary cell.  But would an agent be in there with him at all times?  Or would two stand guard outside?  What's the protocol on having non-prison personnel packing heavy weapons inside a federal or state prison?  What's to stop 50 inmates from bum-rushing them all at once to grab their carry?

He’ll buy a mansion, call it a federal prison, then get a shell company to manage the prison and let himself do whatever the fuck he wants inside

Beats going to a casting for a character described as "extremely ugly"...or something similar.

I've cast a few of those and it's hard not to feel bad for the person auditioning.

Lorne Michael is producing so I think he'll do him justice.

Most of the Lorne Michaels movies have been absolute dogshit.

Someone explain this to me like I'm 5. The 11/8/21 Letter of Interest appearing to set out possible terms for $100M loan lists the collateral as 725 4th Ave., New York, NY, which I believe to be Trump Tower. The $175M bond filings say it is secured by collateral in the form of a Schwab account with $175M in cash. What does Trump Tower being used as collateral on a $100M loan a couple years ago have to do with a Schwab account being pledged to secure the $175M bond?

Jail our neighbors who insist on watering year round.

Season 2 Arms Crossed GIF by Friends

How about jailing people who create illegal dams that prevent the refilling of lakes? I’m sure there is a fuckton of this shit going on in private property all over the state to hoard water and we aren’t doing shit to stop it.

What's fucking INSANE is that TSLA is literally more than 10X the market cap of Ford, who actually make and sell vehicles! Musk has pumped TSLA's valuation so high on speculation, FOMO, and buzzword technobabble. And a large contingent of suckers willing to pay give figures to beta test their pedestrian and emergency services killing software

I’m not trying to get CR, but based on the facts, this doesn’t sound nearly as insane as an ex-president, who is currently under numerous state and federal indictments, and is currently running for president again, having a publicly traded stock ticker with his own fucking initials based on some backwater social media site that has less than 2 million daily active users.

Look, I'm fully aware of their atrocities. The current President of Iran literally ordered the execution of my grandfather and 2 of his friend/neighbors in 1983 for not converting to Islam. They were also accused of being "spies" for Israel due to their main religious temple being located in Haifa.

The regime needs to go. The only path that feels fruitful is a revolution that comes from within Iran. We've all been waiting for it to happen for a while now.

But there are no "good guys" in charge in the Middle East right now. Everyone is a bad actor to varying degrees.

The situation in Iran is unique because the Islamic Revolution was a relatively recent event, historically speaking. A lot of the older people were in their teens and twenties pre-Revolution back when Iran was westernized. They have first hand experience of what life was like without the current regime.

The push for an internal uprising by the people of Iran has a chance to gain traction if it is properly supported by the West, but I don’t think many are interested in supporting that kind of war. There is interest in defending Israel from Iranian attacks, but there is not much interest in regime change in support of the Iranian people absent any aggression towards Israel.
