  1. Anyone want to give me the odds that the CS PD miraculously decide to bring him in on Thursday or Friday... you know right after the late NSD on Feb the 1st...
  2. quote: As part of a new 15-year agreement with Alabama that it announced Tuesday, Learfield, in conjunction with the university, is creating a dedicated hub for name, image and likeness (NIL) called The Advantage Center, an epicenter for Crimson Tide athletes’ NIL endeavors that the company believes is a first nationally. The Advantage Center, with a goal of opening this calendar year, will be located inside Bryant Denny Stadium and will double as the agency’s local office. So they are essentially adding an incubation center type facility on to the Learfield local office and hoping to integrate their college licensing with student licensing for NIL opportunities. Interesting idea that seems more of a publicity thing than anything substantial initially
  3. Oh…. So Sark is actually looking for a legit skillset for his WR coach and not just a name for recruiting? Shocking…. It’s almost like Sark has known what he wanted from the beginning and the 9.95ers keep adding bullshit names they are tight or familiar with while Sark keeps trying to find exactly what he wanted. Since we just had Jr day, the search can take a bit more time. It is interesting how concepts tired to NIL is starting to influence recruiting. Now the RB/WR coach can’t just be a recruiter at schools with an NIL budget, but now have to develop kids foremost so recruits can see a path forward to make NIL $$ by excelling either here or elsewhere as a transfer. Now you have to have the foundational level skills after being recruited to ever score big NIL at the school you are at or a new landing spot.
  4. Do you not recognize where you are? Regret and reproach is all we really do well exporting here…
  5. So I am also curious how by not following the guild guidelines for set use of firearms work with all of this. The standard expectation is than any gun on the set to be visually cleared by the armorer, with the actor present and then give directly to the actor. In this case it sounds like it was just sitting on the table and someone not the armorer handed him the gun and nobody verified anything. By not following established guidelines does that make him negligent in the eyes of the law? I get it from the civil suit side, but I don’t know how all of this is intertwined for criminal law. He shot someone on accident and they died. That seems to be no longer really up for debate. So what/where is his negligence? Trusting someone else? Not checking the gun himself? Not verifying that someone was not in his firing range? Hiring an unqualified armorer? Not enforcing the guild rules on set? This will be real interesting because I don’t know how negligence is determined in New Mexico law and I have no idea if they need to separate the acts of negligence or just show they all add up to being negligent.
  6. He is the man ultimately in charge, as executive producer. So the question is if he didn’t fire the gun, but someone else did would he get charged? It gets compounded because as the executive producer he is obligated to know much more about set gun safety than if he was just some random actor. Would his actions be enough to charge him if he was not executive producer and just an actor? I don’t know. I am real curious how the gun laws work in this case. Did he get charged because he is both the hand holding the gun and the ultimate decision maker, probably. Makes it an easier argument for negligence because he was in charge, hired the armorer, let them be lax on the gun rules, and was also the one holding the gun when it was shot. I am not sure that there is a way to really separate one from the other and ultimately why I think they did charge him.
  7. This one will get a bit weird because he didn't shoot her during a scene but instead as he was "rehearsing" a shot where he is pointing the gun at the camera. He was handed a gun by a producer or director (not the armorer) and never checked the gun. Then pointed the gun at the camera and did not make sure that there was no one past the camera and a shot was fired. Where this gets worse is that he is the executive producer and hired the armorer (it is now coming out that she really might not be qualified and was hired in a cost-cutting measure) and that the crew has been using the prop gun for regular target practice on the set. None of the real protocols for how guns on the set were being strictly followed and someone died. So the question is where does the line of accident/negligence lie and how does this change with him being the executive producer? I got tons of questions about the whole thing, so this is one of those trials I will follow closely.
  8. So the idea is that UGA slow played him the full 48hrs to try and convince him to stay? That is pretty meh going to be standard protocol for most big transfers and I am guessing unless the player is just pissed, you wont see player tweets now until they are officially in the system.
  9. Well the Karjic OT/Big TE was a direct byproduct of our super young OL needing help. Hopefully, after a full year, the pups are grown up enough that we don't need a big inline TE to help block.
  10. I got a feeling people are going to work out what place that was and will make delivery/orders a living hell for a few days. If I owned the place then the kid would probably be getting fired.
  11. If I remember correctly a team has 48 or 72 hours to put you officially in the portal once you notify them. Does that include holidays?
  12. Makes me wonder if this is one of those things that a player turns in the request and the team is waiting to the absolute last minute to put them in the portal while doing everything they can to convince them to stay.
  13. Well Sark got Marion to an OC gig in a year. Does Wiggins think he is looking at one this off-season or does he think he has a chance for BOB spot as OC at Bama once he gets pushed out?
  14. So the younger Petrino has a job now?
