  1. Is that what the elephant in the zoo comment was? Pretty funny reactions
  2. Watching this dude talk football...he desperately wants to coach again. Let’s get this fucking done.
  3. I am grossly hungover so forgive me, but what does your first sentence mean?
  4. I hope to one day trust my acquaintances as much as you do.
  5. Alright I hung in here through Hamburgers, Fisting, Flight Aware, Kendra Scott, Curtain-gate and shit hole Texas towns, but with this latest Joe Rogan bull shit...
  6. I have good memories of playing in the "Tomato Bowl" in high school, but I'm sure you are right.
  7. My area of expertise is East Texas, and it is veritable cornucopia of shit holes like Corsicana. Kilgore in particular is absolutely brutal. Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet.
  8. If you put aside all of the drapery and flight aware forensics and the anonymous online insiders with "sources", and just read Burton's morning updates, you have to feel pretty good about where things stand. We all like to make fun of his old man ways, but he's clearly the most dialed in reporter to UT brass and the least likely to drive clicks or post anything outside of UT's best interest. We know from his posts that UT met with Meyer two days ago, and this morning he posted that "both parties know what the other wants and will provide." If it were a real no, Meyer would absolutely leak it to a legit reporter ahead of the Big Noon show on Saturday. And even if it is a firm yes, guys like Burton aren't going to report that until after Herman has been fired. We'll know one way or the other on Sunday night.
  9. RG, my guy, you gotta break it to IT that you took the Horseshoe find from Surly. Those squares are jerking each other off left and right about how IT broke the case.
  10. The entire A&M fan base openly revolted against their team because of similar “social” issues, and they are sitting at number 5. This team underperformed in the same ways it has underperformed in each of the past 4 seasons, and the reason is because Tom Herman and his staff are very bad at their jobs.
  11. This, I think, is all we know for certain at this point. An offer has clearly been made, and Urban clearly hasn't said no. I agree with what Nahlin posted earlier in the day, that a firm no would be leaked by Thamel or Feldman before our reporters. If we don't hear that before the Big Noon show on Saturday, I think we should feel good.
  12. Step 1: 2.5 or so in the Sous Vide at 127 Step 2: Heat cast iron in 500 degree oven for like 20 minutes. Step 3: Sear 1 minute or so per side while basting with clarified butter/rosemary/garlic mix. Step 4: Listen to wife complain about smoke in apartment.
  13. Hey, a Tyler guy! My parents went to high school with Eltife, and he is somewhat of a family friend. Agree he is good people.
  14. I don't know if this is true or not, but let's just say that Nahlin would fit in really well in the Eyes of Texas/Daily Texan NO POLITICS ALLOWED threads, so take it with a grain of salt.
  15. So has Shelley popped her nightly Silver Oak cabernet yet? I need some more Twitter breadcrumbs.
  16. Charlie gave us three of the worst seasons in modern times, but Malikmas into errrbody was one of my favorite stretches of internet fandom.
  17. I just took it as he hasn’t been told Urban has accepted or declined, and therefore he’s assuming the last hang up is health clearance (either from a doctor or family). He would be more direct if he’d actually heard something on that front.
  18. I agree. But whether that is true or not, retaining a coach until the end of the year even when his fate is sealed is not specific to Texas, which is what Finger implied in his very on brand negative tweet.
  19. This is such a classically stupid Mike Finger take. Coaches are not usually fired midseason, even when the writing is on the wall. This isn't specific to Texas, and I'm sure each of those former coaches can wipe their tears away with the gobs and gobs of cash they received from UT on their way out the door.
  20. It’s been de-bunked a million times. His buyout is prorated. There is no million or multi-million dollar cliff. We are either paying him to coach or paying his buyout.
  21. 100% agree. Which is why I paid Eric Nahlin 9.95 about 5 minutes after the Iowa St loss. I absolutely want to know that a guy on OB who is friends with Bobby Kennedy says that Kennedy told him Urban has been reaching out to possible assistants (yes, that was actually posted). I’m here for it all.
