  1. Sounds exactly like my dad. I have no doubt despite what he says, my dad will vote for Trump again. Wish I had your optimism, I just don't. Nothing Trump has done will dissuade a large percentage of our population from voting for him. Every single person that voted never Trump in 2020 better turn out again or this country will be run by a regarded hate-filled Dictator.
  2. I have been searching for a home in Colorado which will act as my primary residence but have an additional ADU I rent out. The tax considerations are still confusing me. I will meet with a local CPA but thought I would check here too for any general guidance. Will the rental income tax % I pay be in line with my federal income tax rate? For example, if my federal tax rate is 32% will the income I earn on this ADU also be charged at that 32% level? Will I be able to depreciate the portion of the structure I rent? Will I be able to deduct mortgage interest and property taxes on the portion of this property I rent?
  3. I do have a strong preference on which one I'm rooting for though
  4. Strongly considering moving into the mountains in Colorado. I live near Denver currently and have a job that allows me to work largely remote. I've found a home in a small town of ~1500 people. The house sits on 2 wooded acres but is only 3-5 minutes from town. The town has a couple breweries, grocery store, coffee shop, and a few decent restaurants. The home is also 15 mins from a ski resort and minutes from some incredible mountain biking. I am an avid skier, mountain biker, and hiker. The town is also an hour from Denver so getting into an urban area isn't too challenging. What downsides am I not considering? Longer Winters Small Community Dreadful dating Greater amount of work to hang with existing friends
  5. Kevin Magnussen hard wreck into barrier that required some repair and clean up.
  6. Absolutely tragic. I only recall that happening once in my life but I'm sure I'm forgetting some. Recall seeing some images of Clink Malarchuk when I was a little kid I can still remember for better of worse.
  7. Beating bad competition. That said, they were losing to the same bad teams in past years. D looks legit, Offense is bad due to talent but you see an identity, team is better in most areas. I think they finish 7-5 and make a bowl.
  8. That looks amazing. Some serious miles you put in over 48 hours.
  9. I have now, 3 hours of riding today. Thanks for the recommendation, easily my favorite stuff in the front range so far. Far more flowy and less technical than Lyons, Boulder, Golden. Also, no trip to Nederland is complete without a stop at Knotted Root brewery.
  10. Shanahan would turn Dak into Matt Ryan 2.0. A few coaches can extract the most out of any talent. Where these Qbs land is massively important.

Might be a good opportunity to show your work on that statement
  12. I've heard other Mountain bikers tell stories of flying down a trail and seeing a rattlesnake sunning itself on it. They stated they saw it too late and had no other option other than to try and hop over it while praying. I've encountered several bull snakes while climbing but no rattlesnakes thankfully, until yesterday. I was riding through a relatively flat section when I heard a very abnormal noise and noticed movement to the lower right. I thought I startled a prairie dog and the noise was half fear/half fight instinct. I stopped to investigate and saw a rattle snake coiled on the side of the trail. I must have rode inches from it. Is this something that's just going to happen periodically?

When you are done bringing civil discourse to this thread every other one in the CR could also use your assistance
  14. Managed to survive a week of MTB across Colorado without serious injury. Rode in Crested Butte, Ouray, Durango, and Monte Vista. Crested Butte was the prettiest but Durango was the most fun without a doubt. We either rode or hiked 3-5 hours daily then refueled on pizza and craft brews every evening.
  15. Heading to Crested Butte, Ouray, and Durango for a week. Anybody with trail experience in any of these places? Mostly stick to blue and blue/black.
  16. Over/Under on both games tonight was ~39. Still beats Monday nights in March.
  17. Couldn't see the injury but the crowd response to the in stadium replay certainly paints a grim picture
  18. The average bible is 1200 pages long. Just give me the cliffs notes and provide me the speaking points to justify my prejudices. I have bud light miller lite to drink with my racist/uneducated/PTA neighbors
  19. You didn't state otherwise, but I'm confident the number of people sexually assaulted without the perpetrator being punished is 10,000x the number of those falsely accused. Like Mike Gundy, I'm a man, and I've never met a single person in my life that has shared with me they were falsely accused. Sadly, I know a lot of people that were sexually abused though.
