  1. Easy response to that is because the Biden Admin is not the Harris Admin.
  2. I thought hurricane Zeta was what they called the immigrant caravans.
  3. I took this from about 15,000 feet over Kansas City. Sunday, a little after sunset
  4. We need more stats on this!
  5. He’s not holding off Arch another year. He has to know that. No way he stays.
  6. I was told to throw out all the stats and rankings for this game. In fact, I think I’ve been told that for about 30 years straight. But by all means, prove your point with stats and rankings.
  7. One bad quarter for a guy that’s been off for a month is a really shitty reason to bench a quarterback. Nobody is saying he looked good, but the only way to knock the rust off is to work through that shit. And he did. He cleaned it up and we kicked the shit out of our hated rival. Ice Cube wrote a song about days like yesterday.
  8. Always have your lawyers shake the babies.
  9. “My flask of whiskey” is my new favorite euphemism.
  10. Even though we were on the wrong end of it, that is one of my absolute favorite stories in sports. Leach was a fucking legend.
  11. Well, if a low-level congressman is able to accomplish all that he must be a real go-getter. Imagine what a guy like that could do as a senator.
  12. Patagonia MLC mini for me. I liked it the backpack straps still away, so it doesn’t always look like a backpack.
  13. About 10 years and 137 amber alerts ago. And because you touch yourself. But seriously dude it’s not that difficult, just type it into Google and it will lead the way. I don’t know that shit off the top of my head.
  14. Yeah. That’s not how you turn it off. You gotta dig deeper in the settings.
  15. Springsteen should print that on a banner and hoist it up behind the stage at his next concert. It’s a badge of honor.
  16. You can turn that shit off. Most of our phones did not blow up.
  17. I’m not really following your line of reasoning here. They probably will get replaced by automation eventually. But it will have nothing to do with the likability of their union president or the public perception of their demands in this strike. Neither of those two things matter in the least here. Not one little bit.
  18. No union member cares if their president is likable or not. They just want the guy in there that can get them the best deal… period. They’re going to get better than what’s on the table. They won’t get what they’re asking for, but it will be better than what’s on the table now. And nobody in that union cares what the public perception is of that. The public isn’t voting on this.
  19. Somewhere up there a bombardier who caught shit for a miss is smiling and saying “I fucking told you guys!”
  20. I’d be curious to know about what percentage of the people who are outraged by this issue gave one single fuck about women’s sports before. Unless you’re a parent of a female athlete you likely didn’t pay attention or care one bit about women’s sports before. But now all of a sudden you’re fucking outraged and have to fix this great injustice. It’s just another case of people needing to find something to be angry about. Who fucking cares? Some school could decide to put LeBron James on their women’s basketball team and I don’t think I would care about it other than some simple amusement.
  21. Oh I understand it’s a reality. That doesn’t mean people shouldn’t be fighting to change it. Teachers should absolutely be paid a lot more. Sounds like you should’ve been paid a lot more as well. Just because it happens traditionally in some fields doesn’t make it right.
  22. Your jobs sound like they all sucked. Just because you put up with it stuck with that kind of bullshit doesn’t make it right. It shouldn’t take overtime to raise a family comfortably. And nobody is asking for a 75% wage increase NOW. The increase is spread over the life of the contract to be at 75% years from now. It’s a significant wage increase for sure, but not the hyperbole that some of you are spewing. The economy might hit a bump over this if it lasts a while but it’s not crashing. Anyone in purchasing has seen this coming for a long time and has been stockpiling their most important supplies. This has happened before and life went on.
  23. I hear lots and lots of people say that they absolutely won’t do the surgery. The surgery changed my life. I had to do it twice, but that was my fault because I came back too soon from the first one and re-ruptured the same disc. My understanding, as someone posting from a Holiday Inn Express, is that once that disc is fully herniated or ruptured you’re not going to physical therapy it back into place. You could do that with a bulging disc but not one that’s completely herniated already. The gel from inside that disc is pressing on your nerves and causing pain and it’s like toothpaste from a tube. You’re not getting it back in. I’m sure everyone’s situation is different and lots of people can get by without the surgery. But if you need it, it works great. I’m 51 years old, several years removed from the discectomy, and I have no problem going to the gym and doing squats, launching my mountain bike off a 4 foot drop, running, sitting all day at work.. all the things that used to cause me pain I can do easily today because of the surgery
