I’ve been running the same 3 port Mophie 2000mAh charger with pass-thru charging for at least 7 or 8 years. I keep waiting for it to die or for a port or the pass-thru function to quit working but it just keeps on keeping on.
I was wondering that too. That wasn’t the Window view I’m used to. I’ve probably hiked to the Window 5 or 6 times and have never taken the overlook trail. Probably should.
Well, I for one am shocked that the principal told the parents what they wanted to hear, and then essentially swept it under the rug.
Allowing the district to decide whether or not law-enforcement should be involved is just crazy. They should’ve been involved immediately and prior to alerting the principal. Even if they don’t have enough evidence to arrest him, let the cops decide that, not the district.
Military aircraft don’t show up on FlightAware and they have plenty of equipment that looks like an airliner. Could’ve just been some guy who is from that area and wanted to buzz mom and dad’s house on a training flight or something. In an area like that 1000 feet above the ground wouldn’t be illegal.
With all the weather it came through Texas yesterday there were tons of airline diversions. Houston got rocked pretty hard and I heard ATC tell some guys they couldn’t send any more aircraft to San Antonio or Austin because both were full of other diversions. On a day like that with people avoiding weather, you get all kinds of weird flight paths out of the ordinary.
The irony is we aren’t even remotely close to the free-est country in the world. The hillbillies that jerk off to “Freedom!” must have never been to most of the western countries that have more freedom than us outside of one very specific issue.
The white-trashiest side of my family is from Cleveland. My mom got away from there but she gets still mad because I didn’t bring my kids to Cleveland to visit her side of the family. Sorry Mom, I love you, but your siblings and nephews and nieces are pure fucking garbage and my kids are better off not knowing them.
I remember one day when I was 10 or 11 and some local teenagers rolled up to my grandma’s property because my cousin had stolen some auto parts from them or something. They all got out of the car wielding pipe wrenches and baseball bats. My uncle comes out of the house, screaming at his wife to “Call the law!!” Then he holds one of them face down in the dirt with his .308 at the back of his head. The others run back to the car and my uncle fucking shoots the back tire out. They drive off with the flat. Uncle holds the dude there until the sheriff shows up. And we all get seconds of grandma’s peach cobbler on the front porch like nothing ever happened.
In the grand scheme of things, the events of that day are not even newsworthy, but the fact that nobody in the family even raised an eyebrow at it resonated with me even as a kid. That was my first realization that my cousins and me might as well be living on opposite sides of the planet from each other.
