  1. Fast Times is the one that hits closest as far as my time in high school is concerned. Dazed and Confused was dang near a documentary of my time in HS in small town (suburb, bedroom community, Bubbaville) central Texas.
  2. If I look close enough, I still might be able to see an actual scar I got that day. Wife dropped me off around Jester or somewhere on that side of campus prior to kickoff. When I was getting out we were chatting about pickup times and I managed to cut\scrape the hell out of my left pectoral area while closing the door... caught the corner of the door on that piece of shit car. It was very visible for years when I had no shirt on. Shitty reminder of a most shitty game.
  3. I agree but it is still frustrating to see. You would think think this is something that could be mitigated. I mean, people do make money to figure this shit out. I know it happens in the pros a lot these days too.
  4. Big XII champs and CFP participant in the 3rd year of Sark's tenure. I can live with that. Last night is good checkpoint on where we need to improve (and where we have needed to improve through out this year).
  5. Tip of the hat to Penix but Sark needs better coaches and player development in the secondary. We have got some guys to build around talent wise.
  6. That ain’t seen shit all game. Why start now?
  7. I miss those days of having It’s A Wonderful Life on a loop and putting together stuff. It helped that my kids were very appreciative for what they got even in the leanest of times. One winter before I had a family I worked at Target as a night stocker. My job was putting together bicycles and grills for displays.
  8. I remember the days when 7-4 or 8-3 was cutting it close to get to a bowl game.
  9. That was an ass kicking of the highest order. This team is full of cold blooded killers. Back to Back!
  10. During in match interview you could tell he did not know what to do.
  11. One more. This team is versatile.
  12. Happy the brothers won. NERRRRRDZ!
  13. Gives new meaning to CODA(Child of Deaf Adults)... Child Of Dipshit Aggies.
  14. Slim two fold for front pocket the last several years. Only way to go if you are going to carry a wallet.
  15. Very sad. He was my favorite part of H:LOTS.
  16. Hell yeah!
  17. Told my wife he should take her to Fiji.
  18. As long as they put in a law that says if you get a speeding ticket or other moving violation during the ages of 16 to 25, you lose your license for a year. Not saying the premise of the original post is totally wrong either. That being said, eye tests every year after a certain age needs to be a thing... saying this as a dude of somewhat advancing age that has not set foot in a DMV in about 10 years and now cannot drive at night without lenses.
  19. Username checks out.
  20. Grocery delivery Maid Service Lawn service... aeration, fertilization, top dressing, dethatching. I cut, weed eat and blow\sweep. I trim my own trees and bushes and do my own mulching and planting
  21. If you are talking about the rectangular device, I had one of those at one point. I could only get a relative handful of channels compared to what I can pick up now with the HD antenna in the attic. Had an app that helped set up optimum direction. Breeze to set up. Only thing that took effort was getting the cable run down to my cable\ethernet hub and even that was minimal. Only problem I have had was either Spectrum or ATT, for some reason, cut the cable and I had to re-run another. I discovered that early this fall when DirecTV was squabbling with NBC provider and need an alternative so I could catch Sunday night football. Like I mentioned, FOX can be a little iffy depending on the weather but that is it. tl;dr - So what if I have a HD antenna? I am old. Get the fuck off my lawn.
  22. I live in Kyle and can pick up KVUE without issue with HD antenna. Fox channel is a little iffy.
  23. Digging the show and the call backs to other Coen ventures. Caught a song being sang by a group from the soundtrack to O Brother Where Art Thou.
  24. Don't undervalue the impact of Looney Tunes. From a fine arts \ music standpoint, it introduced many of us to opera, classical music, and jazz. They referenced great works in literature and movies. Undoubtedly, there were moments of out and out brain bashing but still it had its moments. And even in those most violent of displays, you would still hear different voices coming from the orchestra.
