This site celebrates assholes and @immamacdriives the bus. Connect the dots.

More context. Somehow, someway it makes the situation even worse.
QuoteHernandez initially believed the ball hit off the knob of the bat, which AJ Hinch of the Tigers went on to challenge. When it became evident via instant replay that Hernandez was wrong and the ball made contact with Torkelson's wrist, Angel refused to reverse course. Rather, Hernandez insinuated that Torkelson actually swung at the pitch, which isn't even remotely true.

The Mavs screwing us twice is very on brand.
What’d they do this time?

Even so the BAL attendance is not impressive.
9th from the bottom last year.
Only averaging 21k this year though 6 games. In reality, Baltimore is a pretty shitty market for baseball. Wrong demographics.

Well, they clearly want him to be good this year
He already had incentive. If he’s good, he plays 2025 for $18.5M. If he’s bad, the Texans cut him and he has to sign somewhere else, likely for less.

They're afraid of Diggs being a cancerous malcontent, I guess
Weird deal. Not great, imo
If he is then they could just cut him next year with no consequences. If not, they are missing out on several years of service. The only thing that remotely makes sense is if they think they can re-sign him at a lower number next year if they decide they want to keep him. Seems unlikely.

Why would the Texans give up 3 years on the contract at a reasonable salary number when none of it is guaranteed? It makes zero sense. Someone explain this to me.

I’m confused because imma told us otherwise and we know he’s vehemently against spewing misinformation

I think we goto a 6 man rotation in the very near future
I don’t think so. Maybe starting with the @Yankees series on May 7, which kicks off a 28 games in 29 days stretch. 6 off days between then and now.

Top Chef is the one show that I seldom question the judges opinion. It’s pretty much impossible to validly judge a dish without tasting it. The exception being the rare challenge where taste isn’t the goal like plating and presentation challenges.

It wasn't even his lambo? It was a RENTAL?
The NFL doesn't pay what it used to, I guess.
He owned the Vette but was renting the Lamborghini for $1750/day

Diggs trade really resonated with Vegas. Texans’ odds to win division went from +140 to +115, to win AFC from +1100 to +750 and to win the Super Bowl from +2200 to +1800

Didn't realize Six Feet Under was streaming. Re-watched the pilot this past weekend. Some really outstanding acting and some of Alan Ball's best work
Maybe the best series finale of all time.

For those who might be concerned about the big drop off in Diggs’ production in the latter part of 2023, it almost perfectly correlated to when Dorsey got fired and Joe Brady took over as the Bills’ OC. Which indicates the reduction was more a matter of scheme and play calling, not ability.

I think Houston probably still signs a safety. Simmons would be ideal, even if he's getting up there in age. Diggs would be fun
They’d have to restructure Diggs contract to sign Simmons. But that’s doable.

I mean, they just traded a 2nd for him. They're not going to cut him this year
That’s not what I said. But they can, if necessary, in the next 3 years with no cap hit

About $18.5mm this year
None of which is guaranteed. So if he sucks or gets badly injured then you can dump him.

It's a 2025 2nd, so it doesn't hurt your 2024 draft viewing experience
Texans get the Bills 2025 5th and 2024 6th rounders as well as Diggs
immamac has permabanmed me against bob’s wishes. read this thread before it disappears.
