  1. I think this qb class is vastly overrated. Great college qbs that I'm not sure will translate well to NFL and may have long term issues. I wouldn't want to be one of the teams needing to draft a qb early. Later rounds may produce better long term prospects.

  2. Fun start to the season. Had to watch the game away from home, missed most of it because streaming shit they had is a total clusterfuck. Ended up having to watch the last couple innings on Deportes for some reason, the only channel that would work.

  3. Noiseless pickups apparently work well with fake amp systems on a big stage. I've had the lace sensors on a Strat and noiseless N3 on a Tele that I got used, hated how sterile they sounded and replaced them.

They must've accidentally hired a pitmaster who gives a damn.

When I first got there and parked near the pits I saw the pit guy walking and talking with what was probably a trainee about details of the job. I liked what little I heard, like the guy actually knew what he was talking about. Definitely encouraging. I'll check back again to test for consistency and be more prepared to get some pics.

  5. Yesterday out toward the lake in the Morgan's Point/Belton area, in a pinch, I needed some food, and about the only thing around was Backyard Barbecue, or BBQ or whatever they call it. I hadn't been there in about 20 years, being unimpressed in prior visits. It was known more for chicken fried steak and other sources of grease and carbohydrates. But I was starving and way late for my usual eating time. I got a brisket and rib plate to go and it was actually quite good! Brisket was moist and smoky with just the right amount of fat, perfect pull, legit barbecue. The rib was large and had a perfect bite, no-frills smoked porky goodness. Sides were good, but I was shocked by how decent the barbecue goods were, and the price was lower than the usual trend. I've definitely been missing out. It may be my new local go-to barbecue destination when both quality and price and the lack of bbq tourist douche element are all factored in.

  6. He made one of the greatest catches I've ever seen in a loss to Kansas City, that year they didn't make the playoffs with an 8-6 record, I believe. Tipped a high ball up and caught it on the way down. Shame they never show that in the old highlights. I remember after that game I was so upset I broke the shower head. Golden was cool.

I have a lot more respect for Frances Baviar (Aunt Bee). She is absolutley brilliant in this series.

She also plays a good drunk. There are a couple of episodes where she accidently gets drunk and she is brilliant.

That's because when she is playing just regularass sober Aunt Bee she already seems borderline drunk.

If he just puts Parsons back to linebacker who situationally rushes it's already an upgrade. I couldn't believe DQ kept him at DE full time for a 2nd straight year after watching him get worn down by week 12 the season before.

I tend to agree with this. Not only wears him down, but limits his amazing ability to use his speed an instincts making plays all over the field. They can disguise his rushes more and keep offenses guessing.

    Zimmer's a fucking retread

Stretch bit don't break defensive philosophy.

  9. Jerry and the Big Flounder ran off Zimmer in his prime with the number 1 defense so Parcells could totally rebuild the defense to his familiar old style 3-4, which he never got done, until he was replaced by Wade, to some degree.

Now Jerry may bring back Zimmer, an old school 4-3 guy to tear down Quinn's gimmicky defense and start from scratch needing new types of player. Totally different philosophies. Gonna take more years to get it on track.

    The circle is complete.

I'd be on either team Harris or team Whitt. At least they can work with the players they have, tweak the current system to something less all or nothing, some ideas to have the ability to adjust and slow down the run when teams have their shit figured out.

I don't think Jerry really understands the current league trend of younger, bright coaches that know the workings of the game beyond the 20th century.
