  1. I think this has more to do with supporters hiding in plain sight to avoid societal derision and fallout than a change of views.

This is the 4th Hammett book I've read. I'm a sucker for these 20s and 30s hard boiled crime books. Out of the 4 this was my least favorite. I liked The Thin Man, Glass Key and Maltese Falcon more. Still worth a read and glad I read it. Red Harvest is a 1929 hardboiled detective novel by Dashiell Hammett, featuring his nameless protagonist, the Continental Op, who is hired to clean up the corrupt, gang-ridden mining town of "Poisonville" (Personville). The plot follows the Op as he manipulates rival criminal factions into a bloody gang war, leading to their mutual destruction in a story known for its cynicism, violence, and exploration of corruption. It's considered a landmark of the genre, drawing from Hammett's own experiences as a Pinkerton detective.
  8. Muschamp is a psychopath. I don't want that in my HC but it a good quality to have in a DC imo. This program could use some more maniacs

  11. Ive long thought that Bidens unstated policy was to bleed Russia dry. I feel less confident that what goes on now. I had hoped that someone could convince trump that his legacy could be to be the president that brought down Russia. Think of all the awards he would receive. I was stupid to think that. The collateral damage is too awful and now I want a just peace. That's not going to happen anytime soon. I think about the F Scott Fitzgerald quote often, "there will be a century of middle class love spent here."
