We are already one of the most undisciplined and penalized teams in the country through 3 weeks.

I think everyone needs to come to terms with the fact that Neto Umeozulu isn't good at football, and there is a reason he isn't playing in his 4th year in the program. They were basically going to hand him a starting spot after last year, and he still found a way to let someone pass him on the depth chart.

PFF does say Neto has played better in the limited action he’s received, but that’s not hard with the level of play Stroh has put out there. Maybe Neto really really sucks in practice.

I just know that if we continue to try and run zone blocking scheme with our current OL beyond games that we’re just testing the team to see what we can execute, it’s gonna be a long fucking season. Hoping Simon doesn’t require zone blocking to be effective.

We did not hear one word about Stroh in the offseason and then all of the sudden right before Ohio St we hear he is the likely starter. As if Stroh secretly beat out Neto without so much as one 9.95’er mentioning that as a possibility. I doubt Stroh is somehow killing it in practice.

I think the issue as has been stated a handful of times here and OTF is Neto is a loose cannon. Apparently they can’t trust him to control his aggression.

Given where things are, I don’t see how we don’t make that trade off, especially given the potential of his aggression being a positive influence on the OL (get fucking mean), even if it means a 15 yarder every other game.

Why the fuck aren’t we trying the two and 3 yard pop passes to get guys in space and let the playmaker move the tunnel screens and bubble screens, etc. why is every pass 10 to 15 yards down field that shit didn’t work last week and it’s not working this week

Thinking because Arch isn’t good in short game accuracy? Even if he gets it to the receiver, his placement is critical to YAC.

I'm sorry, but Jaggy McJaggerson is not going to be a priority this weekend. Run inside, run outside, jet sweeps, hit Wingo, Moore and Endries, win by 11 and leave town. They're going to play 21 and 12 personnel as much or more than 11. Who are you taking off of the field in order to keep McJaggerson out there? A better blocking TE? One of the talented RBs? "Don't throw it to that guy!"

    You’re not sorry

The back and forth between you two has been one of the more entertaining bits between the football and recruiting forums leading up to season start. Thanks gents.

    I'm looking forward to watching Baxter's 87 become a 94.

They better move Jonah to safety. Having to move him to safety in dynasty hurts with the skill caps they went overboard on.

  6. Having Goosby rated 82 when he’s considered a top 100 player in CFB by 247 and a possible early draft entrant seems off. Baker being a 79, a 5 star OT in his 2nd year with no real playing time, is a bit of a pessimistic rating for him. Goosby being around 86-87 and Baker being around 82 would change this, which may be closer to reality this year.

  7. Re: playing the computer, yeah it can get in some ways a bit more repetitive but I definitely don’t win every game on Heisman, and really only play Offense in a dynasty. Ideally I’d be playing an online dynasty, but the coordination on that is a challenge.

Fifa, much preferred Ultimate Team mode went heavy on the online there.

  8. Looking forward to getting to play the game tomorrow. Have read/heard great things, but disappointed in our roster.

No KJ Lacey, Nick Townsend, Bo Barnes, Michael Terry III, Myron Charles, Josiah Sharma, Smith Orogbo, Nick Brooks.

    Goosby at 82, Vasek/Lance Jackson 78, Jelani McDonald 83.

Jonah Williams at Will, Ryan Niblett at CB: changing positions adds a ton of skill caps.

As someone who likes to play dynasty to death, the lack of more than half of our class and the ratings and Jonah being out of position lessen some of the fun. Our recruiting class last year really set the team up for success in the future, and the game really shafted us there and it’s not reflected. Not to mention Alabama being a 94 OVR and tied for best roster seems a bit off.

damn...He would've been the perfect Joker back up. Ive always thought he was solid even when on shitty teams. much better back up than say what Horford could give you at his age. but Horford is better than nobody I guess

[Stein] It seems unlikely that Denver would force Valanciunas to stay in the NBA if he is willing to forfeit his $10.4 million NBA salary for next season. Al Horford is likely to sign with Golden State.

huge blow for Denver. deandre jordan run it back? lol

Yeah this is really shitty if it comes to fruition. Am/was so excited for Val and the potential for him and Jokic both on the floor at times in the playoffs. Fingers crossed it’s a negotiating tactic to get his 2nd year guaranteed.

no shit. from Dawn Staley rumors to..."someone get Mike Brown on the phone, stat!"

they should just make Brunson's dad the head coach and be done with it.

Would have thought Malone would be better than Brown but I don’t even recall there being discussions between the 2 parties.

  11. Damn, that's all pretty fucked up on Lebron. It's one thing to want an extra $20M out the door when that's something like 20% of your career earnings. For him to be a billionaire and want to rob his team on the way out of 2% of his net worth, that's wild. More of an self-centered asshole than I thought.

Ah, ztejas what you're saying makes sense. Make the Lakers pay so his next team is in a better situation.

Zach Lowe thinks Bron is looking for a buyout. That would be some wild shit.

Didn't he just sign a 1 year deal with them? Wtf. Why wouldn't he just not sign the damn deal? I saw Cavs, Knicks, Mavs and Warriors as most likely landing spots should there a be a breakup by my buddy a Lakers fan.

Lakers must not want Ayton (and I wouldn't blame them).  Can't think of another starter at C who is still available.

Al Horford, Chris Boucher, Precious Achiuwa. Definitely getting into role player territory.

Tim Hardaway Jr. to the Nuggets

Jokic got a backup and an actual bench in one offseason

Incredible. We have the ability to add one more, but pretty sure we’d have to go over the first apron which I think we’re gonna avoid so we don’t get the repeat offender. FO said they wanted perimeter d, shooting and big man depth. After one full day of FA: check, check and check!

I picked an excellent fucking time to take over my buddy’s half season ticket for the Nuggs a few months ago.

  14. Just gonna state that working for a company based out of Canada and today being Canada Day with 90% of the office out is really nice for following NBA Free Agency all day. No meetings, NBA TV on the big screen, Reddit, X and surly. LFG Nuggs!

Reported as a straight up swap. Did not even have to throw in some basketballs or a 12 pack of Coors Banquet

Ya when I saw the trade I was sure there had to be more to it, but we don’t have tradeable picks aside from a 2032 2nd, if I’m not mistaken. Couldn’t believe straight swap.

So so so glad that Ben Ten Wallace understands the GD assignment.

Nuggets front office is putting in work.  Just shows how bad Booth was in that role. I love it.

Crazy how Booth had to give up 3 2nds to offload Reggie Jackson’s 1 year 5 mil deal when Reggie actually played and contributed, albeit not great. Booth really fucked us post ship, GD. Maybe we should thank Booth for his idiotic player option for Saric considering we were able to get Jonas for him haha.
