  1. They seem to be in a weird spot in the collerctor market. Some say they're shit regardless of condition, some say they're a turning heads car ready for appreciation. Bids have failed up to $5Ok for low mileage ones, but here's a few that have actually sold. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1982-delorean-dmc-12-3/ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1981-delorean-dmc-12-13/ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1982-delorean-dmc-12-2/ And I saw this one the other day on the road. Not sure what to think. Either it was used on the movie or the owner is a serious fan and meticulously restored.
  2. PSA BAT is auctioning off Travis Barker's '7O custom Cadillac. He's also answering questions, shold be fun to watch. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-cadillac-eldorado/
  3. CSB time. Met one of the Garrison brothers (Bourbon) at a Phoenix airport bar. Nice guy. Got to talking football and turns out his son is Jake's teammate, as in the DB that had to cover him every day in practice. Said his son was undersized, so hurt his recruitment, but his experience having to cover the best HS receiver in the country helped quite a bit. Looks like he's going to CO School of the Mines. /CSB He's got some photos with Jake throwing up the hook 'em sign on his twitter. https://twitter.com/james_g_5
  4. So how would this help someone recently denied coverage from a different carrier, say Cigna? I have a relative recently denied coverage for a 30 day rehab stint for alcohol. Also treated for depression, anxiety. Based on the ACA can they not deny coverage? Or does it depend on how the policy is written and then we'd have to threaten to sue based on the UBH decision?
  5. Loved this movie. Thought it had one of the better villains for the time.
  6. Finally had some time to weld in the DS floorpan. All stitched up. And it's in. Not going to win in beauty awards, but it's solid. Had a hell of a time working around the bump at the gear shift. Decided to go ahead and replace my roached battery apron. Those factory plug welds are a bitch to find. Secured in tight, and she's in. Per Mopar will be doing the seam sealer sometime soon.
  7. I have a handful of songs that immediately stop me from scrolling around the dial. Rikki Don't Lose That Number is one of those. Reminds me of when I was a kid swimming at the local pool during the summer.
  8. Okay, I'm digging a little deep here but I played this CD quite a bit in the early 90's. Worth a listen.
  9. I don't disagree about having to come up with some excuse to avoid NFL suspension, but this isn't a guy that will win a dementia argument
  10. Source material 90's.
  11. Thanks for that link. I didn't understand some of it, but he's a very good writer (maybe he had help) and reading about his preparation and concerns adds another interesting layer to the documentary.
  12. Wasn't this type of stuff already settled in suit against Larry Flynt? And if not, doesn't this open discovery for the defendant to seek evidence he actually has eaten Trump's shit? I hate this fucking guy. Truly despicable human being.
  13. On a more serious note, I was impressed with this BAT listing. Started out as a 540i Touring wagon, but upgraded everything with M5 performance. Kind of checks all the boxes per the OP.
  14. So I watched the Netflix series and decided to follow Formula 1 more closely this season. I'll learn as I go but two questions jump out. How the hell does Honda have an F1 engine but not McClaren? I liked Ocon on the Netflix series and noticed him with the Mercedes team. As a back up will he ever really race with Bottas and Hamilton in front of him? And won't he get stale just sitting around all year, or do they allow back ups to drive during practice time?
  15. I’m finishing up Formula 1 now. It’s very well done. I’ve always been a fan of cars and racing but Formula 1 seemed too predetermined and boring. After watching the series I get it. There are interesting story lines with drivers, teams, engines, etc. but like any sport you have to dive into the details to appreciate it. Every race affects those, especially the first turn apparently. I’ll be watching F1 more and pay more attention to what’s happening beyond Hamilton and Vettel. Seems much more interesting.
  16. Saw this originally in the theater and was disappointed. I thought the taking care of the girl angle was boring and moved too far away from the original. But I caught it today on cable and I've changed my mind. The kid really didn't take too much away from the overall story. If you watch it as a standalone it's a pretty fucking good movie. Yeah the ending has issues, but from beginning to end it would be considered very good if not compared to the original. The part where BdT signed with the farmer hit me in the feels.
