  1. I agree. It's surprising we put up the numbers we did, especially after the injuries... And then this team broke mentally when it lost to OU the way it did. And I'm not sure any coach would have been able to fix that, maybe Saban, maybe not... Let a team even hint of a comeback and the mental mistakes began to pile up... I'm not saying Sark is the answer, but I'm not saying he isn't... 1 year with the shit show he inherited isn't enough for me to make up my mind. This year should give us an idea of what he is capable of bringing. Wednesday will be interesting. I'm curious to see how we do. So far I'm happy with what he's been able to do recruiting/retaining for us especially with what we've produced for almost a decade and a half now. We've had some whiffs (understandable), but he held onto Bijan, brought us Worthy, and if He lands Ewer, it could set us up for a better than expected class this year...
  2. All that also, but Ewer decommitting and going elsewhere was the final straw with a number of big cigars who got it done. But it wasn't like they really had to twist any arms. He was likely gone after this season either way seeing that neither QB we have would have thrived in his offense and Worthy is here because of Sark.
  3. The biggest reason Tom was fired when he did, has to do with the loss of Ewer. If he would have followed up the win vs the dawgs with a solid year, he would still be here. But since he sucked as a coach, he cost himself the job, just like the coach he replaced.
  4. I'm tired of the new coach smell. I'm ready for a coach who gets it done long term until he gets that classic coach smell.
  5. It will be interesting to see who all makes a visit to the 40 this weekend.
  6. My confidence is at 100%. In other news, the Pancake Factory is starting to get national attention. I expect money to pour in before signing day. Things are about to get real. It's time we put real substance behind "we're Texas".
  7. I would put the odds at 80% yes, but Ewer this generational type talent so practically everyone in the country is making a second chance run at him.
  8. Hope you can. Does it mean anything that Sark was the first in home they scheduled? He met with the family Friday night shortly after Ewer announced. Guess he just happened to be in the neighborhood. It's also possible Tech worked themselves right out of contention by trying to pressure him for a commitment yesterday when the family and Quinn making sure they do their due diligence after the way tOSU didn't work out. They do like Sark a lot.
  9. And to think, this should have been his senior year. He will get bigger and stronger... Card didn't have a perfect 1.000 rating.
  10. I'm pretty sure I already covered that in a prior post a page or so back.
  11. I might be wrong, but I don't think he visited Tech his recruitment cycle so I can see him deciding to at least take a look. But after being at tOSU for a year, Tech's facilities are probably underwhelming. Him naming the 3 Texas schools is likely because he found Columbus underwhelming and decided the state of Texas is where he wants to play. I would say Texas is in the lead, but aggy is a very close second. But I believe Sark feels him in.
  12. Kids got somewhat of a Simms type arm but probably more accurate. He can make all the throws either from the pocket or while on the move. He doesn't have happy feet but is quick enough to pick up yards on the ground if the opportunity is there... With him behind center with worthy being the threat he is, Bijan would have tons of daylight because he consistently hits receivers in stride with the deep ball. He's quick at finding targets and getting rid of the ball. Even after missing half his senior year due to an injury, he was still the number one overall recruit in his class and is considered one of the best all time. It seems the only reason he hit the portal is because after the season the OSU QB had this year, there won't be an open battle for the spot going into spring. So him transferring is understandable because as long as he lives up to his potential, he should easily be a high first rounder, if not the #1 overall when he declares.
  13. We need him. He was one of the few to score a perfect 1000. We know how the last one we had worked out.
  14. His source is Texas Tech insider.... USC is a bigger threat... But I believe he is Sark's to lose at this time.
  15. And yet, Tech was never on his list
  16. We almost had Eli instead of Simms. I wonder how that would have gone...
  17. Called this a week and a half ago. Now reel him in, god dammit.
  18. Sweet! Thanks for sharing
  19. A little off topic, but a couple of months after the last time we played OSU, I was on a flight back from Montana to Michigan. A chic in a buckeye hoodie and another passenger sitting in front of my row where making small talk about football. I had them tuned out until the buckeye chic, and I quote, " now Texas, we are starting to form a complex with"... It made me smile. Oh how I miss those days.
  20. Haha... Any schedule is a potential disaster schedule.
  21. Saban will throw us one. An early ooc loss isn't going to damage his season, just to fuck with aggy before obliterating them. Yeah, sounds about right... Sure
  22. Shut your whore mouth! If that happens, I'll make it official. Mack Brown sold our soul to the devil who collected about a dozen years ago.
  23. Haha. Just caught that. It was in small town USA. He's dead now.
  24. This isn't your granddaddy's ND anymore.
  25. One business? Hell, they barely investigate that. I knew someone who burned down two houses, a laundryman and a restaurant in the span of about 15 years and got away with it. He was planning on burning down another restaurant but got scared he wouldn't get away with it. I'm not sure how true this part is, but I was told he used hairspray as the accelerant on electrical fires in the houses once in the bedroom and once in the bathroom.
