  1. It's pretty aggravating that we wandered around in the wilderness for 3 years with that guy.
  2. Texas Tech did not finish third in their division. They finished in a three-way tie for first. In a better conference setup, 10 teams with a round robin and no divisions, Texas, OU, and Texas Tech would all finish as split conference champs. So technically, all three of them would be conference champions. As it was, they were co-divisional champs and the Big 12 simply selected one of the 3 teams to represent the South in the championship game. Texas Tech finished in the top 8 in computer rankings at the end of the regular season. VA Tech finished somewhere around 17th or 18th. There are no amount of mental gymnastics that can reasonably show that VA Tech deserved to go over Texas Tech.
  3. This is why I don't like a 16 team playoff. Texas definitely does not deserve to be in any type of playoff this year. We are not a playoff caliber team, and would not stand a chance to actually win the title.
  4. So your argument is that an 11-1 P5 team, with its only loss to a top 5 team, does not deserve to get in versus a different P5 team that has 4 losses against much worse competition. But, because of where the 4 loss team is located on the map, in a region with a bunch of shitty football teams, they deserve to get in. Just want to make sure we are on the same page here.
  5. 11-1 Texas Tech definitely deserves to go over a 4 loss Virginia Tech. Winning your shitty conference doesn't entitle you to shit.
  6. The NCAA keeps ignoring this problem, and it's not going away. It's a difficult problem to fix, admittedly, but ignoring it isn't helping.
  7. This has absolutely nothing to do with UCF. UCF deserves nothing with that putrid schedule. Schedule better OOC opponents and they will be taken seriously.

    Texas WRs

I hope we are soon to the point where we are not wasting talent like this on mediocre seasons. 🤘
  9. I feel like Herman is not an elite coach yet, but has the potential to learn from mistakes and become one eventually. The Big 12 championship game was concerning however... he should not have completely abandoned the run on offense like that, and he should have blitzed much more often on defense. As previously stated, the lack of in game adjustments is concerning.
  10. Austin Peay, Middle Tennessee, UMass... LMAO Georgia schedules OOC like Baylor. That is pure unadulterated garbage...
  11. Strong went 6–7, 5-7, and 5-7 in his three years at Texas. The records of both his predecessor and successor are better than his. I'm not sure where you are getting 10-2 from. It seems you are now pulling statistics out of your ass. He had better talent to work with than almost every team he played against, and still couldn't manage to get one winning season in three years.
  12. Ahhh, that's right. The looney tune Charlie apologist. It's fun to watch him perform all these mental gymnastics, defending 3 losing seasons, and the worst head coaching record in the entire history of the University.
  13. Mike Leach would absolutely kill it with the talent that comes through this university.
  14. We lost to fucking Kansas in Charlie's THIRD year. He just flat out sucks. Now Herman is pulling us out of that mess and he's right on schedule having us play for a Big 12 championship in his second year. You can't be serious with this can you?
  15. The conference championship games in the current model should be acting as the first round of the playoff. In essence Georgia lost the first round of the playoff.
  16. I don't think it's a question of acceptable or unacceptable, because to me it seems at this point like Herman is going to be here for a long time. My expectations are that Texas will be contending for the conference championship, and possibly even the playoff next year.
  17. Set the Big 12 championship game record today for receiving yards. Not sure if there was anyone still doubting him, but it's clear that he is a MAN and he is ready to make a living in the NFL.
  18. Lincoln Riley's favorite song in the whole world is "Barbie Girl"
  19. I think the hate comes from the fact that there were so many Charlie apologists (mostly blek guys) that stated it was UT's (and Mack's) fault that he didn't do well here. He was just bad. It just goes to show that recruiting is only one piece of the puzzle.
  20. Lincoln Riley believes there are 33 different genders and considers himself to be gender-fluid.
  21. They were good bro. Real good. Except that helmet to helmet hit, that wasn't cool. Kamara was really slow to get up after that and looked confused.
  22. What I stated is realistic in the sense that it is completely possible, and makes the most logical sense. It may not be likely due to powerful, selfish member institutions fighting against it, but it is still possible.
  23. Solution: - Expand to 8 teams, no stipulations. Just the top ranked 8 teams. - Rankings are determined by an average of approved computer rankings with completely transparent formulas. - All conferences must have exactly 10 members, with a 9 game round robin schedule, and 3 OOC games. No conference championship games. This ensures that no team has to play more than 15 games total. No teams get to skip their conference championship game, and still make the playoff, which is an incredibly unfair advantage. No more superconferences that make no sense. Rankings are not created by a biased human committee. No one gets to bitch if they are #9, you lost too many games or you had a weak SOS.
