So the moonshot IT referenced has to be Baugh right? They’re saying Brown is a done a deal the second he goes In the portal. They’ve always referred to landing both Brown and Baugh as a moonshot.
Some glancing thoughts: I liked the older kids having separate and distinct farewell. They’re in very different phases of life than the younger kids. Bringing them all together wouldn’t have worked well. That said, it’s 600 miles from Indiana to Philly. The monthly meet up is never going to happen. D&D final scene was perfect. No notes. Very on brand for the gang to play D&D instead of drinking and chasing girls at a graduation party. I’m glad they killed Vecna relatively early and spent the finale back half on the kids living their lives. This was always the most interesting part of the show.
When the national guys were publicly begging the Rockets to trade Tari I knew they either really liked him or they were worried about him, maybe both. Simmons did the same shit with Alpie before he blew up. I’m not sure how they address point guard, but it shouldn’t involve Tari. They can probably get what they need with some protected picks. Nice smooth ass kicking and an early flight back. Can’t beat that.
He’s extremely personable and likable. All of their money guys loved him… until today. Tech playing in the Big 12 title game was the very public standard they put out there before the season. Mission accomplished. He’ll get another year.
A win is always a win, but when it’s a win over Michigan it’s especially sweet. Had we lost Portnoy and fucking Eisen would have jacked themselves off to Michigan Man Culture win bullshit well into August 2026. The game meant 1000x more to them and we still won. Thats encouraging.
Does anybody think we should have blown their fucking doors off? The Michigan TD catch overturn was horrific. The Clark run spot was dogshit. Underwood didn’t have control off the ball when he reached over the pylon. That’s like 17-21 points right there. I’m guessing it was an ACC crew.
Jaguars and Texans play at the same time. I’m sure there will be some scoreboard watching, but I’d expect both teams to play their starters until they get some clarity.
Is there any buzz out there for a JD SiBBP store pick? Specs had a great one in 2021. I bought every bottle I could find and drank all of them. Spec’s and Total Wine are near me. Goody Goody and Twin are reasonable drives. Houston guys, any good local picks at smaller stores?
I’m pretty happy about the KC21. It was the only bottle that I was surprised to see. I loved the 15, and 21’s reviews are pretty stellar. Really odd nobody would touch it ahead of me in line. It sells for $220 at Spec’s and secondary is currently about $400. That’s a tidy profit for a flipper, but I guess the initial investment is too high. The pick ‘em table was trash this year. Every single bottle on the table was on the shelf the day before. Their store pick prices are shameful. Woodford Double Oak for $101 was particularly egregious.
Luigi’s is the best pizzeria in Midtown in my opinion. It’s right next door to Axelrad too. Tough to beat that combo. Home Slice is unique in that not many pizzerias offer cold subs.
