Except, that BYU team beat the #3 on the road, lost only 1 game previously and then went on to throttle Washington 31-3 the following year. They even offered to play Oklahoma in the bowl game and they declined to take more $$$ in the Orange Bowl instead.
It's completely rigged and set up to keep the G5 teams out and hoard the $$$ amongst the P5. It's crooked and being ran like a monopoly. Not only that but more often, you'll see the P5 schools playing FCS schools (see the SEC last week) than you'll see the G5 schools playing FCS schools. It's completely setup against the G5, by design for the sole purpose of eliminating them from competition and having to share the pie with them. Imagine how much more competitive those programs would be and how much better and entertaining this sport would be if that were not the case...
Surprised they are going to keep him on even for only one more season. And why wait on the new president? Why not just appoint a search committee to find their next coach. Is it the buyout?
And Notre Dame getting in and taking up a playoff spot is a big part of making this happen. Now if we can get UGA to pull off the miracle upset of BAMA, then we can break out the popcorn and hear the bitching from those 3 conferences
Texas should beat Kansas but I wouldn't put it past KU to make y'all sweat a little like they did last night with Mobilehoma. If Sam plays, then Friday evening will basically be watching your two possible opponents square off in what is the equivalent to a conference semi-final game.
The committee is dead set on keeping anyone not in a P5 conference or ND out. It's rigged and it's a complete farce that's being ran like a cartel.
This needs to happen ASAP so we can clean this up and get a post-season set up that we all deserve.
No way would they take Ohio State over Washington State in that scenario. Close loss to USC >>>> getting thumped by Purdue. Even if they beat Michigan, I still don't see tOSU getting in.
I do too, Wazzu is going to take them behind the woodshed and it's going to be highly entertaining. BTW, congrats on winning a dogshit division that even a team like Boise State or UAB could have won.
How cute, you have 3 noteworthy years and you like to pretend your program has a real football tradition. That's seriously comical. That's like a Auburn fan talking smack to an Georgia or Alabama fan. Atleast the Auburn fans have a national title and a Heisman. BTW, the Pac 12 south is literally the worst division in college football. It is THAT putrid.
