Hunter looked awesome
Diggs is in over Dell on 12 personnel
Pitre playing nickel allows the run defense to be more solid when they're sitting back in two safety shell, and also allows him to blitz (his best skill) with less of a telegraph than when he was playing safety. You don't want him covering someone on a slot fade, but they'll probably have him passing off deep routes
Texans vs Packers Super Bowl, imo
Niblett makes sense if there’s an injury cluster at the position and you need bodies because it’s week 10 and you’re down several running backs. He got plenty of carries in high school so he’d at the very least be comfortable taking handoffs, and he’s dangerous with the ball in his hands. He also probably doesn’t hurt the two-deep like moving someone else would
If you just need short yardage because Blue goes down, then sure there are better candidates
Thanks for the info
I'll post again that people shouldn't fret over the starters in the secondary since the 2nd string plays almost as much as the first, unless the defensive philosophy has changed with Nansen coming in
Random note: I'm happy to admit that I was wrong for being a bit down on the Lassiter pick. Apparently he's going to be a good outside corner sooner rather than later/never
1) If Blue struggles in pass pro, they could do the 2019 LSU thing and just send out five receiving targets on obvious passing downs (LSU would motion CEH out to the field next to the sideline and either a LB would follow him or a CB would be sacrificed on him). Quinn would need to be better managing pressure for this to work though
2) Texas is so loaded at WR and probably TE that 11 and 12 should be more than enough to get you to an elite offense
3) Blue ideally is running outside zone types of plays (he's excellent there), but there's a chance he's still more than fine on IZ/Duo/Counter. He wasn't particularly good as an inside runner as a prospect, but watching the video posted earlier in this thread of his carries throughout the season, he got better at it as the season went on, especially as he got more reps with the first team. He's also a threat to hit a home run on an inside run if a LB misses his gap/gets blocked or bouncing it outside
