  1. What's Fauci's latest over /under on how many masks each person is to wear again? Last I heard, it was 1.5.
  2. I was offered the vaccination about ten days ago because I work for an electric utility. I passed on getting it because I figured there are plenty who want it more than me. I have been exposed to it several times, so I figure I either had it already or I'm not going to get it.
  3. Just be aware and remember that "Ag" has many faces and facets. That's all you need do. I think we're good, now.
  4. Remember, only 15 minutes with your shirt off and use a quality sun blocker.
  5. I don't know how much snow you have down there, but if one doesn't have water, snow can be put into a black trash bag and hung in the sun to melt it. It can be used for flushing toilets. I shoveled a bag full and hung it in the backyard on a bird feeder shepherd's hook and it melted in a couple of hours with the temperature being 6 degrees, just to make sure it still worked since I was a Boy Scout. At higher temperatures, it might even get somewhat warm.
  6. I'll trade you your Ag Commissioner for our Junior U.S. Senator. Maybe they will both end up lost in transit if we are lucky.
  7. I guess I have never run into many corporate owned farms in Wisconsin or Nebraska and those are the only places I have been on dairy farms. All were family owned and operated. I would say you paint with a way too broad brush though, my friend.
  8. It might be a local colloquialism, but yes, we call them "hot water heaters". We also have regular "water heaters" for stock tanks and such, which keep cold water as cold water and not ice. Therefore, a distinction in saying "hot water". I guess the name "hot water" comes from the finished product being produced here in Nebraska, not what one puts into it. Now, does anybody want to argue ".45 Long Colt" with me? 😀
  9. ???? Most everybody here in Nebraska has their hot water heater in the basement. I've never heard of pressure issues with a hot water heater, but there might be something here I don't understand.
  10. I'm going to guess you never worked on a dairy farm if you think it is an easy money scam. Maybe arrange a working vacation at one and then report back to us on the joys of morning milking.
  11. If it got down to just -9, you shouldn't have a problem there if you mixed according to directions. I have seen just one vehicle radiator freeze up and that was because a guy broke a hose during summer and when he replaced the hose, filled up with water and forgot to drain and add before winter.
  12. We had rolling blackouts here in Nebraska. The state actually produced more energy than it produced by somewhere around 30% but couldn't make up for the losses in the Southwest Power Pool. Nebraska Public Power District even started up an inactive power plant that hadn't run since 2012. I had to jump a vehicle or two last Sunday, but I cringe at the thought of all those frozen and or broken pipes you guys have. Keep an eye out for mold in the spring if a pipe burst inside. Tomorrow we should flirt with temperatures above freezing. Got down to -29 at its lowest, but that might have been the high in North Dakota that same day. Somebody always has it worse...
  13. Just pro 'rasslin. Let all the trash talkers put on purple tights and fake hit each other with folding chairs.
  14. Frost is at Nebraska for at least two more years, maybe longer. I am a big fan of signing a contract and holding to it, regardless of how bad it sucks at the present. Frost could use better assistant coaches, however.
  15. You know, it's not mutually exclusive that Nebraska sucks at football this year AND Nebraska exposed the Big Ten as being a punch of pussies and dolts.
  16. Frost had no problems manhandling LeGarrette Blount, so it might be not be physical courage thing as much as embarrassment of getting caught. Pick it up at 1:18.
  17. Isaiah checks all of the boxes: Sarcastic, merciless, funny as Hell.
  18. I would hope in cases such as this and with such damning evidence, the County D.A. wouldn't need the mother's permission to file charges. Imagine some woman shacked up with a loser that is beating the hell out of her kids. When the police comes she says, "It's okay, I don't mind him smacking my kids around." In which case, the loser is arrested and the kids are taken away from the mother...right?
  19. It was hilarious to see Paul ESPN's Finebaum try to make a case for bending the rules for Ohio State to play Texas A&M after he scorched Nebraska for trying to get an out of conference game when Wisconsin forfeited opted out against the Huskers earlier in the season. That being said, let OSU play the Aggies. More football is always better than less football, in my humble opinion. Also, fuck that Max whoever guy on ESPN.
  20. Yeah, I used to smoke it with the other hood rats when I lived near Garfield Park up in Chicago. Wait, you were talking about the barbecue, weren't you? Never mind.
  21. Somebody should tell that ref that the mask goes over his mouth and nose, not his eyes. Seriously, that was the worst and most damaging screw job I have seen in years.
  22. Just spitballin' here, but I am going with: "Those that do a great many immoral and criminal things should be caught and punished for doing those great many immoral and criminal things."
  23. I didn't say Vedral was good. I was saying he was our best. He can actually throw the ball farther than 20 yards. For the life of me I can't figure out why Scott Frost, a national champion option quarterback of all people, can't teach his two quarterbacks ball security while running. I noticed that the Nebraska cornerback knew how to switch the ball to the opposite side of potential contact. That skill eludes McCaffery and Martinez.
  24. Nebraska's best quarterback plays for Rutgers now.
