  1. Listening to the SEC network on XM and the purported broadcasters/journalist were (Alyssa Lang and Chris Doering) talking about how they were rooting for Georgia during the game. There's no question in my mind that those refs were right there with them.
  2. Obviously with some sort of collective agreement or contract schools would now be allowed work in something that restricted movement or playing for another school if they didn't fulfill their contract. Have you been paying attention to what's happened to the NCAA in courts over the last 5 to 7 years? There's a reason there aren't any rules concerning the wild movement we see right now.
  3. How the fuck did he hold onto that ball?
  4. Gonna need an employee contract or some sort of collective agreement to accomplish that. Can't just limit people's movement and act as though they're employees without actually making them employees.
  5. As long as we don't have SEC refs against Clemson I expect our run game to come back alive.
  6. Same here. We dont have enough smart off ball movers (especially without Kent and Brock from last year) to run as open a system as we did the past couple years. We need a lot more structure and sets or else Johnson, Mark, and Kaluma will compete in a jacking competition all season long.
  7. No serious basketball team (on any level) keeps anyone in the low block. This isnt 1994. You want the lane open for your guards with the occasional dump in when you big has a little on him.
  8. I forget the game, but the last time he played he looked like he hurt his shoulder. I havent seen him since.
  9. Is Devon Pryor still on the roster?
  10. The Gonzaga game was a covid makeup. Beard would never schedule that.
  11. Beard was the master of these shit schedules. He created an entire tournament out of thin are for the expressed purpose of playing a shit schedule. I don't think we've played in one of those really great preseason tournaments since the season that Andrew Jones was diagnosed with leukemia. It was the Phil Knight tourney.
  12. It's not like Tyrese didn't occasionally have great games for us. Consistency was his biggest issue, that and the random WTF? moment at inopportune times.
  13. SEC refs don't call pass interference for shit, but they call holding like it's going out of style. I feel like 15% of our 10+ yard run plays this year have been called back for holding. No wonder SEC defenses are dominant. You can mugg pass catchers all day and any big run play against you gets called back for holding.
  14. Game on the line, Jackson Dart with the pass......

I want to take this opportunity to break my arm while patting myself on the back and point out how I called this over 2 years ago.

He's actually from Garland. He just went to Lake Highlands because his Dad coached there.
  17. James Franklin is the most chickenshit coach in history. He beams at pre VY-Mack Brown's slong.
  18. All that motion for a straight up dropback pass. I swear, OCs lose brain function in big games when they join James Franklin's staff. No rubs, no defensive conflicts, absolutely nothing. Pure trash ass series of goal line calls. Not to mention the fact that they forgot who their best player on offense was until this last drive, This has been an alltime atrocious offensive performance for even James Franklin.
  19. I feel like a lot of British shows especially British shows on Netflix drip with this overly dramatic, over the top element. They sort of suck at subtlety.
  20. It does, the big 3rd downs that both WIngo and Bolden had against Vandy were comeback routes, And Xavier Worthy routinely had deep 15 to 20 yard comeback routes.

I hope you're right. While I love the fact that Arch seems like a gamer and looks to possess the coveted athletic instinct that allows QBs to think on their feet and perform reasonably well in the midst of chaos, however there are a few things that I already see from him that I worry about. He's often late on throws and isnt all that accurate on his intermediate throws. I'm hoping the tardiness of his throws is just a reflection of his experience level, but time will tell.
  22. In all honesty rewatching the game makes it clear to me that our Oline wasn't as bad as they appeared to be at first glance. If Quinn plays with even half of the pocket presence he displayed against Michigan then that 2nd quarter is much different. Quinn's pocket presence was absolutely atrocious. He didnt have as much pressure in his face as I thought in realtime and he routinely gave pass rushers a direct line to him by refusing to step up in the pocket. This thread details a lot of the issues Quinn created for himself throughout the game. Make no mistake about it, this was Quinn's worst performance in 2 years.
  23. UTboy isn't related to Johntay. He's just someone from Desoto.
