My first time on surly since the tOSU debacle, but I don't think it's debatable Sark called a piss poor game on offense.
Yes, Arch being a bit off and Matt Patricia doing his job well made things difficult, but Sark didn't adjust until it was way too late.
Yes, this has been said many times before but it needs to be said again...your defense holds any team to 14 points on the road there is no excuse for grabbing an L.
Not calling for Sarks head on a stick just yet, (no more decade long G5 coach experiments) but I need to see much better next time we face a team that can fog a mirror. -
It's really strange for me because coming into the SEC I thought Georgia may be the only sane, rational and educated fanbase. It's almost embarrassing how wrong I was, but moreso for UGA people. They absolutely don't like Texas, and at least for me the feeling is mutual. Nice to have an instant spark of dislike with someone in a new conference. Makes it more fun. -

Anyone expecting more than typical first year starter shenanigans (flashes of brilliance followed by flashes of wtf) is going to be disappointed. That said, I think Sark has collected enough high quality that if Arch struggles at times we still win games we struggle based on sheer talent level. I'll take it either way.
"As I asked in my Ifs List, however, what if Manning is merely very good? What if he flashes epic upside -- like he did against UTSA, completing passes of 75, 51 and 36 yards and ripping off a 67-yard touchdown run in less than 30 snaps -- but also gets fooled at times, like he did against Louisiana-Monroe (and in cameos against Georgia and Florida)? What if he needs an unproven receiving corps to bail him out and an unproven offensive line to protect him more?"
Fair write up. Arch will struggle but if he can scramble for first / touch downs look out.

I took the off-season off to regroup myself and career, but now that I'm back there is no way we don't mudhole the Bucknuts.
Jeremiah Smith the best player in all of CFB? That's a nice, comforting thought to the jorts wearing fans...but they don't realize he won't be taking direct snaps, know what I'm Sayin? -

He's going to give everyone frustrated with Quinn exactly what they want, but that will likely come with more than a few picks, ill advised shovel passes and getting rocked into a fumble if he doesn't learn to slide.Arch is probably going to make some absurd plays and head scratching mistakes in pursuit of a few more. I'm excited to see what the offense looks like with a credible vertical threat.
But really next season's result is directly correlated to how well we shore up the interior lines in the wake of major talent/experience departures on both sides of the ball. The next seven months are going to be lots of circular discussion that ultimately lands there.
That said it will be nice to have a fearless QB that can actually put an opponent away when they're on their game, and not just a lesser opponent. Having a consistent running game plus a dual threat QB should do wonders for us in the RedZone. We shall see. -

How many times over the past decade have we seen the defense play more than well enough to win, but the offense can't keep up their end of the bargain?
I'm having chuck flashbacks, help me. [emoji85]
