2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
Haven't they said they don't move teams that aren't playing this weekend? So Oregon-OM-ATM-OU are pretty much set in that order, right? Unless Bama or BYU jumps in the middle of them somewhere.

2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
It doesn't matter bc they're out but Miami is the biggest head-scratcher of the whole rankings. 2-losses against a garbage schedule and somehow they're ahead of Texas and Vandy? Utah should even be ahead of them. Also - ATM dropping behind Ole Miss is big for them. Unless BYU wins, they get ND/Bama round 1 instead of UVA (aka a bye). Hard to imagine a scenario where they move up to 6 at this point if teams truly aren't punished for CCGs (basically Tech or UGA would have to drop below them).

Meh to be fair it's more than the drops. He's not great at route running, blocking, breaking tackles, or contested catches. Yet. And "yet" is a key word in the equation because of that physical talent.

"Wanting him gone" is dumb but questioning whether he's worth whatever he's making seems fair. No different than an NFL free agent. Of course, none of us know what he's making or what a replacement would cost so it is 100% Surly idiots speculating.

Counterpoint: How many of those yards came from screen passes where no one touched him? As others have said, he has enormous potential and shows flashes, but he's still very unpolished. Next year he could be exactly the same or a total gamechanger, who knows.

Yeah Brazell is the leading WR in the SEC. Brenen Thompson is 2- Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?
Sounds like Jeff Brohm is next for PSU if Sitake says no. Which would be sorta funny since Kentucky just hired a likely top Louisville target in alum Will Stein.- 2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
Not UT related but it'll be interesting to see where Ole Miss ends up. This year there is a big difference between being the 6 seed and 7 seed. 5 and 6 get Tulane/UVA/UNT first round. 7 gets Bama or ND. Oregon, ATM, Ole Miss likely fighting for the 5-7 seeds. Oregon probably #5. Ole Miss and ATM seem like a toss up for 6. Of course a Bama or BYU win could change things as well.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - This Is Fine
After giving up 30+ in 4 of the last 5 games, interesting that there's less concern on defense. IOL and TB are obvious needs but I would've thought defense over TE and WR.- 2025 Texas Coaching/Support Staff Thread
Flood seems to do well with OTs but not with G/C. Maybe they just need an Assistant OL coach to help with the interior- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - This Is Fine
A lot of talk about Cam Coleman but what about Ryan Williams entering the portal? Apparently his snap counts have been declining and against Auburn had zero targets.- Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
Florida just beat FSU by 19 points. FSU beat Bama. Yet I don't hear a peep about Bama missing the playoffs because of that game.- 2027 WR Easton Royal
That would be prettay prettay cool- 2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
This is the reality. There is no consistent framework. It's whatever each year's random selection of biased humans decide to weigh. It comes down to simple mental biases: Texas has 3 losses compared to 2. Nevermind they played 5 current top-15 teams and one of those was a 7-point road loss to the defending champ who hasn't had another single-digit game all year. Vandy is named Vandy instead of Notre Dame or Oklahoma. They must suck! Utah's AD is the chairman of the committee. The sad part is the message it sends about OOC games. Teams are way better off playing a middling ACC or Big 12 program than someone like OSU or Notre Dame. People will counter with examples of playoff teams that had tough OOC games (ND, A&M, tOSU), to which I say - where would that team be ranked if they didn't play that game and got an easy win instead? A&M would still be in the playoffs easily even with a weak-ass SEC schedule. ND would be top 5. OSU would still be #1. Basically, it wouldn't make a difference at all, especially if you have a tough SEC schedule on top like Texas/Bama. Basically, if Texas had played Tartleton State instead of Ohio St, they would probably be ranked 8 or 9. If they had beat OSU, they would probably be ranked 6-8 (maybe pass ATM and/or OM). The risk/reward of playing that game is nowhere close to worth it.- Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?
That little plane wouldn't even hold that fat fuck- 2025 Texas Coaching/Support Staff Thread
I want the Mizzou OL and RB coach. They have an elite run game every year- 2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
Yep. The "don't schedule tough OOC games" statement is loud and clear.- 2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
It's just that the committee is dumb and lazy. They see 3 losses vs 2 losses and say "3 losses is worse derp" without going further- Lane Kiffin to LSU?
Not defending him either and we don't know the full story but y'all know Kiffin wasn't the one publicizing most of this shit right? It was the media covering his family's flights TMZ-style, Ole Miss giving an ultimatum, everyone in the media asking him what he's gonna do, etc. Short of straight-up lying, not sure how he could've possibly taken attention away from it. It sounds like he handled this weekend extremely poorly but it seems like most of the stuff before now has been other peoples' fault.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - This Is Fine
All else equal, you don't want to replace good young starters if at all possible. Continuity matters (for both sides). There's a lot more risk and learning curve for all involved if you swap someone out. And he should get better given lack of experience.- Lane Kiffin to LSU?
Yeah Eric Morris is literally doing this as we speak (assuming they make it). It's not a bitch move to recognize someone has other goals and still work together to finish things right. The ultimatum was dumb especially coming from a position of weakness. The only caveat was that maybe they were just sick of him behind the scenes, who knows- Lane Kiffin to LSU?
That's what I'm saying. Giving an ultimatum did nothing but hurt their players and fans.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - This Is Fine
Baker and Goosby, if he returns, are a good OT duo especially with another year of experience. If Goosby goes pro, furk. Definitely need interior OL.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - This Is Fine
NFL Draft decisions are going to be interesting to follow. Looking briefly at some of the draft "experts": Goosby is rating mostly day 2 but possibly late round 1. Jelani's stock seems to have fallen quite a bit. Not even in ESPN's top safeties list. MM's stock isn't super high anymore. Round 3-4ish. Endries and Kanu could be round 3-4 type guys. Hill looking like Round 2. So, looking at that, Goosby would seem like the iffiest one (and at the most important position, unfortunately). I'd still expect Hill and MM to leave. Jelani should probably stay. Endries and Kanu, who knows. - Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - This Is Fine
