  1. Rice had himself a hell of a game. That young man sure does know how to perform when the lights come on.
  2. You said not really while further proving my point. Baylor had all that and still paid Briles a large buyout to make it go away. A&M won’t have as much dirt on Jimbo.
  3. Even if all this were the case, which I’m not sure it is if only one player is involved as it seems currently, Baylor paid Art Briles a massive payout to get him to leave without burning the place down, so A&M will still be paying Jimbo a boatload of money regardless.
  4. Sure but that's all irrelevant to whether they care if Ford joins up with Red Bull. That doesn't add a new team to the grid, so it doesn't matter if it's a branding exercise because it's not adding anew team to the grid.
  5. I mean RB adding Ford on their cars is not even close to the same thing as adding another team to a grid. There's no inconsistency between those two positions.
  6. Replacing Brundle with PDR would’ve been a nightmare. PDR was terrible. I’ve liked both Button and Rosberg in Brundle’s role, but I’m not sure either would want to do it full time. Alex Brundle, Martin’s son, has done a really good job in junior formula and F1 TV.
  7. Expecting a Sark-coached team to win 10 plus games is a bold strategy.
  8. Yeah, like when they were the only ones saying we were going to hire Sark. What a bunch of idiots. Everyone knows you have to listen to the OB modcast nightly if you want to be informed like Mailbox 357.
  9. lol wut. They’re 17-2 and 6-1 in conference and you think that makes them close to dropping to a Q2 team?
  10. Something tells me he’s still going to want his money back even if the @ KSU game is on ESPN +.
  11. But you also said we’d go 4 wide a ton, which would require taking Sanders off the field a ton. We run enough plays that we can give 4 WRs starter level snaps without having to be in 4 wide that often. The real issue will be target share. Worthy, Sanders, and JAhitt will still be targeted heavily, but Neyor and Mitchell will need over 100 targets combined. Sark/Ewers have to cut down on Worthy’s targets significantly and spread those out to the other guys. Hopefully that and more offensive success will lead to more targets overall.
  12. Personally, I feel bad for Bohls. He’s seriously underrated on the list of worst guys covering UT sports because no one actually reads or listens to AAS content.
  13. Sark has already identified managing the WR room as an issue, and adding Stewart would give us two Xavier Worthy’s in that room. There are certainly worse things than constantly upping the price for aggy to keep him while adding other good WRs who aren’t complete divas.
  14. I hope he doesn’t fall this far, but Buffalo or Kansas City would be really fun spots for him to end up and they both need a RB.
  15. This seems like a real cheap shot. Did you not just see the video of Lewis running all the way to Antarctica instead of taking a private jet?
  16. He started for the national champs all year as a true freshman and started every game for them this year when he was healthy and he caught 4 TDs in 4 CFP games and your assessment is to look at his 3 star HS rating? No shit he flashed in his two years starting at WR for the best team in the country. So a 995er who didn’t even know this was a thing until yesterday when it’s been in the works for over a month just throws out USC as an option with no real info, and y’all turn immediately start giving your reactions to losing Mitchell to USC? Was the discussion about our worst losses under Charlie and Herman not engaging enough for you? Surly is truly a hive of masochists.
  17. Agree with everything you said. The lip service to climate impact from F1 is dumb, but if they really cared, they would focus their talk on things like biofuels and how developments through F1 research make a way bigger global impact than the travel of the F1 teams every year. The entire conversation (from F1 and the fans claiming to be worried about it) is really fucking stupid.
  18. that and they don’t actually want to be efficient. The race promoters don’t want two GPs that are close in proximity back to back.
  19. It’s understandable to not want either, but one of the guys is one of the winningest coaches ever in CBB, while the other has no business even sniffing an interview based on his career accomplishments. They’re not even close to the same tier of candidates. If Terry weren’t the interim HC this year and he was on the short list to be the next HC, every single person in this thread would be losing their shit over him even being considered for the job. He’d be like hiring Skip Holtz for football.
  20. Yeah, late teens to twenties seems likely IMO. I think Saquon being healthy and being the only legit weapon for the Giants this year will help him too. He reminds me a lot of Saquon without the long speed but better vision inside. I doubt he runs the 40, but it would be really interesting to see his time. He’ll absolutely kill the shuttle and 3 cone if he does them.
  21. I’ll be shocked if he falls that far. It seems like draftniks are usually more extreme about positional value than teams, or at least there are always a few teams that will still take a RB high, even if the league generally is moving away from that.
