  1. Well his OL coach left and they replaced him with a raging asshole who’s a way worse coach.
  2. I think the real takeaway is that it looks like Hutson is forcing the staff to find a way to get him on the field. He looked really damn impressive in the spring game for a guy who just enrolled a few months prior, and he might have been the best performer of the entire thing. Angilau has had a lot of mental blunders at Guard, and I can think of some notable ones last year, so I’m a little skeptical he’d be a great option to step in at Center, but it could also be possible for Hutson to step in at Guard and Conner kick out to RT as a way to get Hutson on the field, especially if Christian Jones hasn’t made big strides in his technique since last year.
  3. Yeah, my stat was something like passes of 15 or 20 yards plus. Either way, all these similar stats show we sucked at defending the deep ball. That’s a very interesting way to spin the fact that we were constantly getting torn up on 1st and 2nd down runs.
  4. Yeah, Ocon has a history of dirty driving with his teammates. Ocon often comes off as insecure about his status in F1, which I think is a big part of why he gets overly aggressive with his teammates. It certainly looked to me like he was blocking Alonso off at the start there, while letting Lewis clean through.
  5. If Thomas or Brooks flip, their decommit class will be higher rated than their commit class.
  6. I see they’ve gone from “the pool party will save us!” to “Winning 11 games will save us!” To be fair, I think both things are equally likely to happen.
  7. A&M’s class falling apart is never a bad thing for us. You’ve really become a satya lite lately. Remember when you were convinced A&M was landing Nelson just because they paid for a visit the other weekend?
  8. You missed Howe’s other tweet. He said the only player on either side of the ball looking more explosive and more ready to make an impact this year is Troy Omeire.
  9. I used to like Otmar whe. I first started following F1, but every time he speaks you realize how full of shit he is. He’s put out quotes saying theyre disappointed at Paistri’s lack of loyalty when Alpine has completely failed him. They couldn’t get him a seat in Year 1, they maybe could have gotten him a seat in the worst car on the grid in year 2, and then he was just supposed to wait another 1-2 years in a backmarker all for the payoff of driving for a team perennially stuck in the midfield? Why would one of the best young prospects to come along in the last 6 or 7 years ever agree to that? Fuck off the with the loyalty bullshit. Alpine fucked up once again and now they’re paying the price.
  10. Hard to say for sure. Someone should probably check the EBDB to confirm.
  11. There’s so many things wrong with this post. To start, Watts only started their first game at CB because of injuries, so your idea of him getting benched/moved after opening day is completely inaccurate.
  12. Thankfully not, but basically every race I realize I chose the UT Football of F1 and I wonder why I did this to myself. I’m thinking I must subconsciously be a masochist. But thoughts and prayers to anyone who is a fan of all three. Thy could make for a horrible fucking weekend this Fall.
  13. You think that’s tough? Try Ferrari.
  14. By all accounts, Laurent Rossi, the CEO of Alpine, is a total shithead and horrible to work for. He was the one who drove the Ocon contract because he wanted to have a French driver, especially since Renault is a state-owned company.
  15. Eh. I don’t find that at all meaningful. Both those guys are clueless, especially as to whether aggy will be dropping bags on a guy. Wells was saying he was confident on Hill the day before he committed to A&M, and Roach constantly falls for BS players and parents tell him.
  16. This is some impressive cognitive dissonance. Acting like you can’t figure out why Jimbo keeps Craig around everywhere he goes even though he’s a terrible coach.
  17. I think we get Gullette unless A&M makes a monster offer, and usually the TexAgs guys know when that’s happening. The fact that they’re not confident seems like a very good data point for us.
  18. This is a stupid take. The vast majority of the board is high on Gullette. The two services that have updated his ranking lately have him in the top 100 nationally and tOSU recruited him extremely hard. He’s a stud, and his ACL will be fine by the time he enrolls this winter. Bobby Burton said he was the anchor of his team’s 4x100 at 225 LBs and he long jumped 22 feet. He’s an elite athlete and has NFL potential at edge.
  19. Lmao wut. Teams didn’t have to go deep on us because they could run at will, but when they did they had a ton of success. At one point in the season, opposing O’s were something like 17/25 in completing deep balls against us. PK definitely played safeties deep and had guys over the top, but teams still completed deep balls on us because our DBs were horrible at playing the ball in the air. Huh? That’s such a weird way too lol at it. It’s an emotional hedge. If your team sucks, at least you make money. If they’re good, you won’t care about the money you lost.
  20. We added one ILB to our front 7 from last year. The same front 7 that got dominated in the majority of games last year. Ovie is still a starting edge. There’s no basis for concluding this defense should be strongest against the run.
  21. Pre-budget cap, the big teams spent about $500mm per year. There’s a lot of stuff outside the budget, including engines, so the big teams probably still spend north of $300mm. As for Drivers Danny Ric makes $20 or $25mm, can’t remember which. Both Carlos and Charles make 8 figures per year. Piastri could probably be signed for fairly cheap (7 figures) in 2023 since he’s a rookie who needs a seat.
  22. Guilbeau being out due to personal reasons and Collins and Sweat running 3rd team for what I can only assume are non-football reasons is a great start to the season for a defense that has to make big strides in order for our team to be more than decent. He was the only early enrollee. I'm sure we'll see plenty of other freshman on the 2nd team depth chart very soon.
