  1. This is kind of a dumb way of looking at it. It’s not always an advantage to be in the city where a kid grew up. The #74 player in the whole country plays in Norman, OK and he’s committed to MSU right now.
  2. TexAgs usually knows ahead of time when aggy is buying a recruit. This certainly doesn’t sound like that kind of update, which probably means we get him, unless they come up with some big bags in the next 6 days.
  3. Not with Ferrari strategy and reliability. He has two more grid penalties coming. And McLaren.
  4. Not sure about that. Ferrari has been horrible on the softs, but Leclerc would at least be on the podium instead of in 6th. nobody could ever win a title with this Ferrari strategy team.
  5. Ferrari better fire their entire strategy team over summer break.
  6. Ferrari are so fucking stupid. Stick to your strategy and leave Leclerc out for the softs.
  7. This year it would be Ovie and Sorrell at the two spots. From last year’s class, Tapp would project to weak side (though he’ll be strong and athletic enough to make either work) and Finkley would be strong side. Both Walton and Gullette probably project to weak side but idk exactly how big they are. Shelby has the frame for strong side edge if we could get him.
  8. Lmao what? He bitched for laps on end just last race on a dive bomb by him that probably should’ve gotten him a penalty. If Checo didn’t bail, they would’ve crashed and it would’ve been Russell’s fault, just like Ocon. Don’t fall for his fake PR bullshit comments. They don’t call him PR 66 for nothing.
  9. You keep harping on the 2-4 when it’s the exact same as a 4-2. PK usually runs a guy about 245-250 on the weak side and a guy around 260-265 on the strong side. That’s plenty big when he has the right guys and it functions almost identically to a 4-2. Our problem last year was DL who were bad at 2-gapping and horrible edge personnel, especially after Jones got hurt. If you want to focus on a scheme failing from last year, it would be the catch and release 2 gapping when we had DL who couldn’t execute it and bad linebackers behind them , not the use of a 2-4, which is a distinction without a difference from a 4-2. This is also completely wrong. PK ran a 3-3 sometimes, but his base 2-4 does not function as a 3-3. It’s 2 DTs, 2 edges, and 2 ILBs. We always had 2 ILBs on the field. That’s not a 3-3 in function or in personnel.
  10. It’s really not. They offered him a shitload of money. Let’s not act like there was anything more to it. All the confidence out of nowhere from aggy sources and Fong days before was a giveaway. Same thing happened last cycle, except aggy can’t throw crazy money around as much this year so they had to be more selective and picked Hill.
  11. Even when Max, Lewis and Checo are out of it, Ferrari find a way to Ferrari. Crazy how their pace was way off compared to yesterday. All the other support races should help the track get closer to Friday’s condition by the race tomorrow.
  12. The EPA per play stuff certainly confirms what we saw last year. Our run O was better than the pass (mainly because our QBs sucked and our OL was better at run than pass) and our defense wasn’t good against the pass, but we were absolutely abysmal against the run. I certainly expect our Pass O to improve. The real question is whether our Run D can.
  13. Bevo saw the level of stupid achieved yesterday and said
  14. Man, there’s been a lot of stupid on this board today, and it’s no surprise who it’s coming from.
  15. Find a new DC/edge position coach who can actually coach and recruit… or even just one really.
  16. Damn. That’s really fucking impressive. At first you think it’s going to be a total fuck up, but then you see him salvage it by managing to embed the tweet in the very middle of the fucked up link he originally tried to post. Bravo, sir. Bravo.
  17. Any time you can play for a guy who has a fire hose fully inserted into his mouth, you gotta do it.
  18. Doubt it. Much more likely they start Helm at in-line and shift Sanders to Move TE after Billingsley leaves. Helm has looked really good so far.
  19. Ryan Day’s right hand looks like it’s placed awfully low in that photo…
  20. Beyond Brisket would probably play better where he lives now.
  21. Second all of this. It’s also pretty sweet to go to the inside the GA spot with the rides and food. You can stand right by the long straight and see just how fast the cars are up close. I watched qualifying there last year, and it was awesome to hear the uproar of the crowd when Checo put in fastest lap on the first runs in Q3. We had some Mexicans by us losing their minds.
  22. IIRC you were one of the posters trying to say Sainz was better after last year because he got extremely lucky in scoring more points. And I’m a Ferrari fan and I wasn’t doing that at all. I hold my breath about an engine blowing out or an idiotic pit strategy. Those kinds of mistakes have cost Leclerc about 80 points this year, which is way more than his mistakes have cost the team.
