  1. The White Stag of every transfer cycle for Texas is the badass WR who will not be named, but would change everything if he joined the program. We've faced that in 3 consecutive cycles. Now, I'm not saying Texas hasn't also signed some terrific WR transfers in each cycle, because they have. Nonetheless, there's always been "another". Two years in a row it was the WR/KR from Kentucky who finally went in in the 3rd year and Texas ignored him. One of those years, Evan Stewart had also agreed to a deal and ATM moneywhipped him stay and continue to devolve into a team-destroying shitheel. The guy out there remaining as a potential get, who will probably stay where he's at and deflate us all, would be a better get than either Stewart or the Kentucky guy. At least, IMO.
  2. Sucks for him. That was a gruesome injury to witness. Theisman, Tyrone Prothro, and this dude all on national tv of some sort. When a leg injury turns a body part sideways, backwards, or in multiple directions at once, the playing days are usually over. I guess Tim Krumrie and Alex Smith might disagree, but those are both crazy ass stories in bravery, persistence, and lunacy.
  3. It would look like hammered poo. That dude isn't an outside receiver. His hands also kind of suck. A 2nd round grade for him is absurd. I won't be surprised if he's passed up by year's end. He didn't do himself any favors with how he handled part of the offseason, either. He's not going to get a lot of undue loyalty the way he did this past season. You took one play and attempted to build a foundation with that and your usual bullshit of negging Ewers as some sort of subpar college QB. It's astonishing how often you sprint onto this board in order to show us your ability to projectile vomit bad takes.
  4. I enjoyed the book, True Grit, as well as the latter film. No Country For Old Men, book and movie, are both excellent. Apology accepted. We’re currently witnessing some true snobbery and idiocy here due to the Coen Brothers, and that’s a given whenever they are mentioned. So does Nolan not count because he’s British? You can’t really call his movies “British” and he rivals anyone.
  5. He’s got no idea what’s coming. How many of us have been a part of M&A in some form? He has no clue and he’s projecting. I am loving this. It’s hilarious. Nahlin is completely unsophisticated on these matters and Ketchum is probably even more clueless.
  6. I think you have it pretty straight as far as I can tell.
  7. So one of Nahlin and Ketchum is about to be tossed out on his ass as they’ll merge sites eventually. Either that, or, and this is quite disturbing, they join forces to become the biggest blowhard, fake insider recruiting board on the planet.
  8. No, JFK is also a terrible movie. What the fuck is going on here? Boring legal/weed debates and now overrated movies from the 80’s/early 90’s talk? We need WR transfer rumors or something.
  9. I tried to watch it once because of how many people told me it was a must-see. Didn’t pass my 30 minute rule when watching movies. I wouldn’t waste my time.
  10. My 11 YO just went deep for the second time in LL last night. No doubter off the best pitcher in the league and then threw 4 IP for the win. He’s hit bombs in select and won games on the mound in select plenty. Still, doing it in the playoffs in LL with his buddies is a whole different thing. It’s insane watching kids throw around 70 from 46 feet and then watching another kid turn on it.
  11. This just shows you how truly stupid many of the programs and collectives are right now. Madden Iamaleava couldn't hold Trey Owens or KJ Lacey's jock and yet he was set to make more in NIL than those two, combined. What a clusterfuck of idiots between the Arky collective, the Arky coaches, and the Iamaleavas.
  12. The “I’m so fucking fed up” thread on Aggie 247 is pretty outstanding. That poster base is much smaller than Texags and they’re a magnitude more intelligent. As well, there are times where Tarp will actually let his guard down and post honestly. Anyway, here’s a string of posts including some terrific stuff around Elko being a fat waste of space:
  13. It’s splitting hairs. If they’re not top 10, they’re top 15. They are tied for 11th in appearances. The bigger issue is their performance when they get there. They have a lopsided losing record and several behind them in appearances have more titles. That all said, people might argue Arkansas or Clemson over them, but neither of those schools have won a title. And what do you do with Florida State? On one hand, they go to the CWS a lot. On the other hand, they collapse almost every time they visit. It’s pathetic.
  14. The notion and lamentation that they are only hiring “good guys who get us” while everyone else is hiring the college sports versions of JR Ewing, Lex Luthor, Thanos and Darth Vader is both comical and absurd. If they tried to tell anyone else familiar with the college landscape that kind of simpleton fantasy, the person would either politely get really thirsty and walk off, or just explode into laughter.
  15. I love it when they start playing their idiotic hypothetical game where they win all of the games they've never played. However, it is hysterical when they do it immediately after watching reality make an appearance slap them repeatedly upside the head while they babble. There are multiple people in those threads who are proclaiming the aggies hypothetical victors under numerous other circumstances with less than 24 hours between the post and a full sweep by their arch rival. It's insane.
  16. For whatever reason, I was thinking Muhammad would be in his 2nd year. Of course he’s going pro after his 3rd year. The money really matters to him.
  17. I thought we’d sequestered this thread vomiter to the $9.95er board.
  18. Starting this before some witless rube attempts a thread. Also, the first roster change for this thread will be a grad transfer WR that people nut themselves over. So I hope. About the WR part. Not the nutting stuff.
  19. Not quite the 16 or over 12.5 that @Wulaw Horn predicted, but still another great showing for Texas. The Ewers fall is fucking ridiculous. Multiple shittier QBs went ahead of him and I feel bad for the guy. Happy for everyone else drafted. In the end, CWilliams will sign for more (annually) than he would have gotten for coming back, but it still might have made more sense for him if he wasn’t so worried about his knees. It should be interesting for the draft in 2026. Assuming Manning comes back, what are we looking at? -Campbell -Hill -Taaffe -Moore -Guilbeau -McDonald -Burke -Spence -Shaw -Brevard -Wisner -Hutson -Robertson -Goosby -Moore Jr. -Baxter Not saying all of those guys leave, or that they’re all NFL draft material. Just accounting for guys off the top of my head who could be a candidate with a good year. Seems like 6-8 will happen pretty easily and it could go double digits again with big years.
  20. It was the dude you guys crowdsourced.
  21. Yeah. It’s been almost five years since I heard it. It made me a regular listener except for whenever they go political. I need to listen to the first one again. They also have the part where Shepard talks about beating Wayz, which was funny and hit home as well.
  22. Kudos for looking him up. I've started just winging it when I see them breaking down or updating on someone of whom I'm not familiar. I stand by my position that this guy is more likely to become an award-winning James Beard nominated chef than a middling or better OT in the SEC.
  23. Can't remember if it has been mentioned or not, but Jayden Gibson tore his patellar tendon in one of his knees. That's coming off the torn ACL that knocked him out of last season in August. There's a ton of speculation that he'll never play again for OU. Anyways, their WR room looks like warmed over dogshit.
  24. The post-spring OT evaluation is grim enough for further concern with Tarp. This guy is one "Reuben Owens almost got a pass block" kind of missive away from driving over to the Texags office adjacent to the AD building, getting out of his I-Roc while it is still running, sitting down cross-legged in front of the building, dousing himself in gasoline and striking a match. It is almost impossible to spin how shitty their OT situation looks after the spring game. 1) Zuhn is hurt and didn't play. He was easily their best-performing OT in the stadium on Saturday. 2) Fatheree is far shittier now than when he showed up on campus. Tarp appears to take some sort of shot at this guy for becoming a rotund glutton. 3) Crownover is productive when the opposing defense has their 4th team in during garbage time. 4) There's some French guy on their roster who is too tall to be effective but makes the best beouf bourguignon in the greater Bryan College Station area. 5) Lamont Rogers was seen crying on the sidelines after getting buttfucked by a walk-on in plain sight to the 200 fans in attendance.
  25. The very first Smartless episod, the one with Dax Shepard. Will Arnett and Shepard talk about working on a film with Don Johnson. It's like the second half of the episode. It's one of the funniest fucking things I have ever heard.
