  1. Twin Liquors has them for $75
  2. Somebody's been asleep during class again.
  3. As my grandfather used to say, that's why they make Fords and Chevrolets.
  4. Thanks Bill, nice recommendation
  5. TW took mine back unopened with receipt a week after purchase. Said the wife bought the wrong bottle...lol. Manager was sure they would sell it immediately.
  6. Good to know, was headed to the DT store to pick up a bottle tomorrow. Do you like regular Larceny, and what was special about this store pick? Inquiring minds want to know.
  7. Guessing by the reviews, about another month
  8. Enjoying a Henry McKenna 10, barrel #5099, from 4-23-08. Simply great Bourbon at $30-40 IMHO
  9. I heard from a friend it was good, but not that good...
  10. Speaking of Store/Barrel picks, here's really good discussion by the Bourbon Pursuit round table on the pro and cons of said picks. https://youtu.be/03rMX33vG2s
  11. Which Specs store has it?, at that price I'll take a gamble
  12. I believe the difference is the $50 bottle is corked.
  13. Well, it's $50 now and that ain't gonna change
  14. Agreed, since the new price is like $50, and $60 wouldn't be crazy. $99 is an easy gotta have it.
  15. They sold out, 20 cases in 4 hours...
  16. Been trying to find EH Taylor SB, that juice has disappeared in and around Houston...sigh
  17. Oct 2017, now that's promising
  18. Anyone have any experience with WB Liquors single barrel select products? A friend offered me a sample his BT WB select that he got a few weeks back. It has an orange sticker stating it's a single barrel product with a barrel #, but no other info. We did a side by side to standard BT, this stuff is better, with deeper flavors. Guessing it's a year or 2 older than standard BT.
  19. The Knob 12 is descent at that price, pass on the Quarter Oak unless you just have to have it, can't see the age from that photo on the KCSB, what Specs were you at? has a damn nice selection...
  20. Only saw two reviews, both liked it. One thinks that Beam is running out of 14 yr old juice, (Sad) and this may become a regular offering and yes, it's hard to compare it to KCSB select, at 120 proof, 9-14 yrs, priced at $47-60. MSRP for KC12 is $52 I believe. It would sell all day long at $40 range IMHO
  21. Spend a few dollars more and get the best whiskey you can afford. Life's too short to drink swill.
  22. Got word from a friend that Knob Creek 12 year old has been seen at several Mom and Pop locations in NW Houston. Price is $60-65, very limited supplies.
