  1. Yeah agreed. It’s a big home field advantage to play the championships every year at AT&T. Just look a few years ago when they played at the Texans stadium and mostly Houston teams won. Really unfair to the rest of the state. And I say this as a resident of highland park so we certainly benefit. UIL probably get more money there so that’s probably your reason.
  2. Alvin Shadow Creek made the state final in their first year and plays Highland Park. I know Shadow Creek is right next to Manvel (and in the same Alvin isd) but are there any players from last years Manvel team that now play for Shadow Creek? Last years Manvel vs Hp was perhaps the best game I’ve ever seen.
  3. Lake Travis looks like a JV team compared to North Shore.
  4. Highland Park is humiliating Denton Ryan, now 29-7.
  5. North Shore vs. Lake Travis - this should be a fun one. I'll take North Shore.
  6. I’m surprised he didn’t wait a little longer to give the Aggies a chance to showcase their program’s skills in the Tax Slayer.com bowl.
  7. My pops played baseball at Rice. and to the OP, I played baseball against Scott Podsednik growing up (I was in Waco, he was in West). Very fast dude.
  8. Ehlinger offseason 2018: mastery of avoiding dumbass interceptions Ehlinger offseason 2019: mastery of the slide
  9. Wright would have been a great pickup - I very much agree with everybody here. However, Jake Smith and Jordan Whittington are both elite, so I'm not going to throw a tantrum about our WR class. I'm more concerned about our D-line and landing a top RB.
  10. Regarding Cain, it appears his other choices may not present him with good options to shine: 1. Georgia - Based on Cain's comments he wants strong OL play, he'd get it at UGA for sure, but he'll likely have to sit behind Zamir White for 3 years. White was the nation's top RB last year. 2. LSU - I expect them to under perform under Ed O. Plus Emery Jr has a good chance to end up there. 3. Penn St - Distance has to be a factor, plus the fact that Ricky Slade (5 star RB) committed there last year, and they already have a 4 star back committed this year.
  11. I live in Highland Park. Not exactly the slums, but I still pride myself in being a cheap bastard. I had to take action a few years ago when I noticed my wife would consistently spend $400 per week on groceries, mostly at Whole Foods and Tom Thumb. We are a family of 4 with two daughters, 6 and 4. Just to prove a point, I took over grocery shopping and was able to bring our bill below $100 every single week by shopping at Walmart and being cheap AF about what is bought. I try to avoid food that comes in "boxes and bags" - that's where the money is pissed away. I won't pay more than $1.99/lb for chicken breasts and the hamburger meat we buy is the cheapest chubb available (the meat tubes). If the wife has pleasured me in the past few days, she might get a few name brand items like dannon yogurt, otherwise there's a whole lot of Great Value brands. Absolutely nothing from the dreaded "cheese island" of expensive, wasteful cheeses are found in our home any more. Almond and/or Coconut milk....hahahaha NOPE, try Great Value 2% milk. Unrelated, but the other big win I had was to buy a $30 bidet attachment for my toilet. I get a much better cleanse and cut my toilet paper purchases tremendously. Plus the tingle from the bidet is a freebie.
  12. LaDanian Tomlinson, who played for Waco's University High. It was fair to say that he had a significant athletic advantage over me.
  13. Yep. It's why all the big consulting firms like BCG, Bain and McKinsey hire more from the Ivies (no matter the major) vs. state school business schools. Sorry, but it's true. Then they teach them financial modeling.
  14. Welcome to the forum, Coach Herman. Strong first post.
  15. Recruiting is feeling good, and looking even better... Sincerely, Ravishing Rick Rude
