  1. Yeah, that's why I left Lukashenko off the list.
  2. I wonder if we go after someone proven or a young guy with potential like 3rd string Georgia TE Pearce Spurlin or lisfranc injured Oronde Gadsden.
  3. I highly recommend that you guys avoid watching "Boys in the Boat" or at least wait until after we play UW.
  4. And I do have the phone number that the scammer listed with the real estate agent. I need a policeman or FBI agent on this board to put the scare into them. One thing that I wonder is even if the person listed with the T-Mobile, Chula Vista number lives in Ghana, I'm pretty sure that it would be coordinated by someone in the US. I wish the government would go after this kind of stuff hard. By letting it go, it just makes scams such as these more common.
  5. We have the title in a safety deposit box. Wouldn't that be needed at closing? And if it is a red flag for real estate agents, it seems like the listing agent would be partially responsible.
  6. My wife and I serendipitously stopped ourselves from being scammed. My wife called to pay our sewer bill on land we own in the Rockies and the lady stated that we didn't need to pay anything until closing. Well, we weren't selling our land. Today, we called the title company and were able to stop the transaction which had a closing date of the end of January. Then, we called the police who were nice but not very helpful. I did a little digging and the number of the scammer looks like it's a T-Mobile number from Chula Vista - one site gave a name that looks to be a surname from Ghana. Anyway, it looks like the scam is pretty easy. They don't need to actually steal my identity, they just need basic information that is available with online tax records. They find a real estate professional to actually list the property on the MLS site. And then the scammers do all their work via email and docusign. How does anyone keep this from being a continuous problem? How can I stop it in the future? If it gets past me, who can I go after legally? The title company and the real estate agent obviously should have done a much better job of making sure the seller of the property was the owner. And there is no way to know if either was in on the scam. I doubt it, but stranger things have happened. Pretty scary that someone could steal a half million dollars that easily. Opinions?
  7. I loved the last line: As the Longhorns continue to navigate the recruiting process, it will be fascinating to see how the team adapts and fills the gap left by Moddon’s absence.
  8. The Departure of Hunter Moddon from the Texas Longhorns: An Insider’s Analysis June 22, 2023 4:23 pm Emmanuel Charles-Lobo Fj5L1NmXgAEiAwn In a surprising turn of events, it has been revealed that 2024 Houston (Texas) Clear Lake ATH, Hunter Moddon, is no longer considered a commit to the Texas Longhorns football team. This information, obtained by Inside Texas, has sent shockwaves through the college football community. Moddon’s initial commitment to Texas on September 2, 2022, was seen as a significant victory for the program, as he had offers from esteemed institutions such as LSU, TCU, Ole Miss, Georgia, Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Arizona State, and Washington State. However, it seems that Moddon has had a change of heart, and his departure from the Longhorns’ 2024 class has left fans and experts alike speculating about the reasons behind this decision. Hunter Moddon’s Rankings and Potential Prior to his departure, Moddon was highly regarded in the recruiting world. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, which compiles ratings and rankings from multiple recruiting media services, Moddon was ranked as the No. 107 overall prospect, the No. 15 cornerback, and the No. 21 prospect in the state of Texas. These impressive rankings solidified his status as a top talent in the 2024 class. Additionally, all four services rated Moddon as a four-star prospect and listed him among their top 200 prospects. Such accolades highlight the immense potential that Moddon possesses as an athlete. On3 NIL Valuation: A Measure of Moddon’s Market Value An intriguing aspect of Moddon’s profile is his On3 NIL Valuation, which stands at an impressive $124k. The On3 NIL Valuation, a proprietary algorithm, projects the annual value of high school and college athletes based on two key categories – Brand Value Index and Roster Value Index. Moddon’s high valuation signifies the marketability and commercial appeal he holds, making him a sought-after figure in the sports industry. This valuation system is a testament to the increasing significance of name, image, and likeness (NIL) in college athletics. The Implications for Texas’ 2024 Class With Moddon’s departure, the Texas Longhorns’ 2024 class has taken a hit. However, it is essential to note that the program still boasts commitments from several talented players who are set to make a significant impact on the team. Let’s take a closer look at some of these individuals: Freddie Dubose Jr. Freddie Dubose Jr., a wide receiver from San Antonio (Texas) Smithson Valley, is a four-star prospect according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Dubose Jr.’s commitment to the Longhorns adds depth and skill to the team’s receiving corps. His presence on the field is expected to contribute to the offensive firepower of the Longhorns. Santana Wilson Santana Wilson, a cornerback from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain, also holds a four-star rating in the On3 Industry Ranking. Wilson’s skills as a defensive player will be a valuable addition to the Longhorns’ secondary. His ability to shut down opposing receivers and make crucial plays on the ball will undoubtedly bolster the team’s defense. Trey Owens Trey Owens, a quarterback from Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair, is a three-star prospect according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Despite his lower rating, Owens possesses considerable potential and could develop into a key figure for the Longhorns’ offense. His arm strength, accuracy, and decision-making skills make him an exciting prospect to watch. Michael Kern Michael Kern, a punter/placekicker from Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas, rounds out the Longhorns’ current commitments. Kern, a three-star prospect, brings a specialized skill set to the team. His ability to consistently pin opponents deep in their territory and contribute to the field position battle will be crucial in close games. Hunter Moddon’s decision to decommit from the Texas Longhorns has undoubtedly left a void in the team’s 2024 class. However, the program still boasts a group of talented individuals who are determined to contribute to the team’s success. The departure of Moddon serves as a reminder that the recruiting landscape is ever-changing, and commitments are not always set in stone. As the Longhorns continue to navigate the recruiting process, it will be fascinating to see how the team adapts and fills the gap left by Moddon’s absence.
  9. You should report it to the local animal control or the police. That doesn't mean you are pressing criminal charges, but you are creating a record of the incident. If you later file a dog bite lawsuit or pursue an insurance settlement, this record will be essential. And make him provide vaccination documents (for rabies).
  10. Now that I think about it, it has been more like the 8 days of Hanukkah. Still a Christmas present would be nice.
  11. Evans is a defensive lineman and he had zero chance of beating out Cook, Wingo, and Niblett if he had come to Texas.
  12. 1 inch? You poor bastard. I know what I would be wishing for for Christmas.
  13. I'm going with signing bigger classes without bread. We churn through the roster much faster these days, get rid of the dead weight, and have complete classes with real competition at each position. Roster management has been better than any other time since scholarship limits.
  14. Iran doesn't give a damn about its proxies. They are an expendable asset. We can hit them hundreds of times and the rebels will still fight back. To stop it, we need to either get boots on the ground (which is a terrible idea) or go after Iran directly. Iran sees negotiations and defensive postures as a sign of weakness.
  15. V. Putin S. Hamilton B. Clinton J. Carter D. Van Dyke B. Newhart S. Doherty M. Brooks S. Bankman-Fried K. Abdul-Jabbar Bonus: Antonio Brown, Lil Gnar, P. Collins
  16. Sorry, I meant was there any description of the driver who hit her. - drunk, stupid kid, etc.
  17. This is wrong. The NCAA doesn't want players transferring solely to play in the NC game. Every transfer (and graduating senior) would want to come to UT so that they could play and win against against the winner of Michigan/Alabama.
  18. Syncope means fainting/passing out. It better come up when searching the symptoms.
  19. Who attempted to make the stupid pass?
  20. I heard we are signing Jimbo for an analyst position.
  21. Why do you want to spy one of the most immobile QBs Texas will have faced all year? Christ. I know what Bama would do.
