  1. SIAP but wonder if we have interest here. This guy can play and was the best player in their bowl game.
  2. It's going to be interesting how OU fans perceive a 8-4 or 7-5 season next year. Completely new OL, new OC, and young QB. Tennessee, @Auburn, Texas (neutral field), @Ole Miss, @ Missouri, Alabama, @ LSU. That's brutal.
  3. Maybe I'm reading too much into this but I wonder if Texas has a package for Arch in this game for a few plays. Washington has had a difficult time defending zone read this year with a mobile QB.
  4. The infuriating thing about the lack of holding calls is Bedenbaugh has pretty much said that's his entire strategy. To hold and see how much OU can get away with. That's fine if it was consistently applied but it never has been.
  5. The Sooners OL finally being called for holding would be so beautiful.
  6. I laughed but 9-7 in the ACC at Duke is considered good. That's the problem. It's not good in the context of the ACC. The prime example is Jeff Brohm this year. Went 24-23 in the Big 10, 3-3 in non-conference this year at Louisville, but finished 7-1 in the ACC this year at Louisville. The ACC is a joke.
  7. Elko would not be the coach at aggy if he coached in any other P5 conference than the ACC. The ACC is complete dog shit. It's unbelievable that aggy committed the same mistake of hiring a coach from a trash conference that stacks a few wins against below average programs.
  8. Every year we talk about aggys strength of schedule and then they lose to mediocre to bad teams. Take for instance those games above: @ Florida, Arkansas neutral field, ND, @ Mississippi State. They will go 2-2 in those games. Just wait and watch.
  9. Basing this off the Oklahoma State game is the funniest part. It's like they haven't done any research on Oklahoma State's defense. They are dead last in yards per game given up in the Big 12. They've been surviving all year based on crazy turnovers and a few redzone stops. Oklahoma State's DC (Nardo) should be coaching HS ball.
  10. The only thing I've learned from bowl season so far is FSU absolutely deserved to be excluded from the playoffs. The ACC is pure garbage.
  11. Both signed with Beard too. The dude can coach but damn definitely seems like he's trouble based on his history and who he signs.
  12. Oklahoma State's over/under win total will be interesting. I think it will be 8.5 and I'll probably hammer the under like I did with TCU this year at 7.5. That's just based on precedent for teams the following year based on the "luck" factor. But I can definitely see Oklahoma State being good next year based on the entire OL returning, some weapons at WR, and Gordon.
  13. None of that matters, the only thing history will remember is W/L and you got the dub tonight. Congrats and good luck in the new Big12. Yeah but it does matter long-term because luck isn't sustainable. See TCU in '22 and then see this season. Winning like Oklahoma State did this year will almost certainly result in a worse record next season.
  14. Yeah, but this is kind of how Oklahoma State has looked all year. Most of the metrics have Oklahoma State as the 8th to 10th best team in the Big 12 but somehow they found a way to win games. It's just very Gundy. There is really no reason this team should have won 10 games. I don't know if that's a compliment or criticism of Gundy.
  15. I think there's definitely something to be a winning program with Gundy. I also think it had a lot to do with "luck" this year. Almost every metric that calculates "luck" has Oklahoma State near the top if not the luckiest team in the country. Same applied to TCU last year and then the "luck" disappeared. Normally teams fall off a cliff the following season when you see seasons like Oklahoma State this year and TCU in '22. Either way, I think Oklahoma State will be an intriguing team next year. They have pieces on offense returning that should have them ranked in the preseason top 25.
  16. Oklahoma State definitely deserved to be in the championship game. Results matter. But Oklahoma State is a very flawed team that "Gundied" their way to 10 wins. I honestly think the only coach that might be able to get this team to 10 wins is Gundy. I don't know if that's a compliment or criticism of Gundy.
  17. Fair enough, I just don't think Oklahoma State is anywhere near the 2nd best team in the Big 12. The ESPN efficiency ranking system has Oklahoma State as the 10th best team in the Big 12. FEI has them ranked similarly. They're a very average team that led in almost every "luck" metric in the country. They're a 7-7 type team that somehow found a way to win 10 games this year. I'm not complaining because we deserved a little luck in the Big 12 championship game.
  18. OU lost without their best WR and best defensive player. They would beat Oklahoma State by 10+ points on a neutral field if they were healthy.
  19. I don't think it was about "giving up" as much as Oklahoma State simply isn't good. That's been obvious for weeks. It's why I wasn't even remotely worried about the Big 12 championship game. This was a team that barely escaped against UH/BYU and were spanked by UCF. Oklahoma State has been shitty for weeks now. We were just lucky to avoid OU or K-State in the Big 12 championship game.
  20. This has been coaching malpractice by Gundy even if they win this.
