  1. I did a rewatch of season 1 over the weekend. Things that I forgot about: 1) Cobel got fired in the last episode right before everything went down with the innies waking up on the outside. 2) How dryly funny the show is. Christopher Walken saying they, "They bonded over their love of industry" was absolutely hilarious. 3) The weird sex stuff at the waffle party. Dylan G is a hero for leaving that to help his friends. 4) That Helly R started her big speech at the gala as her innie. For some reason, I thought I remembered that she snapped back to her outie before the speech or that the episode ended before she started talking. 5) That Ricken's book had such a big impact on the innies. 6) That Ms. Casey is blonde in real life and from Nepal. Quick sidenote, there is a neighborhood near the school I teach at that has a large number of immigrants from Nepal. I met several of the mothers at open house this year, and holy crap, all of them were knockouts. I don't know what's happening there, but I want to learn more. Suffice it to say, I am ready for Friday.
  2. Um, I think you do understand it.
  3. I would think a battery-powered speaker hooked up to your phone would be the best way to listen to "All Out of Love", but I don't know what the acoustics are like in the hole.
  4. @Sawbonz is right. On a scripted TV show, closed captions work well. On a live event, they're riddled with errors and misspellings.
  5. My favorite part of the prayer before Friday's game is that they made sure to sneak in "the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic" in there. Gotta make sure the title sponsor gets mentioned, you know, just like Jesus would want.
  6. I'm on my phone so it's hard to tell, but I think I see Gandhi on her lapel.
  7. That tornado isn't sending its best.
  8. Gotta make sure to get the corporate sponsorship mentioned in the pre-game prayer. Just like Jesus would want.
  9. What's Adolph Rupp doing these days? He may not want to switch to another SEC school, but he'll listen if we back up the money truck.
  10. You get that many surlyites together and there will be way more hot air than that.
  11. A little odd that the pool boy is coming over in this weather.
  12. Don't give him any ideas, because then he'll start selling off naming rights and we'll be stuck with the AT&T Gulf Sponsored By Crypto.com
  13. Not a self-respecting one. But we're talking about Ted, so ...
  14. I just want to point out that Maria Taylor is hella fine.
  15. I'm logged into the espn app and it's telling me "This game will start at 7:00 PM." It's 7:13, motherfuckers!
  16. I am confident in saying that "Nuggative Nelly" might be the worst ad campaign in history.
  17. Cameraman shows us some moron with a Christmas tree on his head, but covers up the two hotties in front of him with a stat graphic. Be better, ESPN.
  18. I never have understood this trope. If someone shows up and says their going to take care of my work, but I'll still get my normal salary, then I'm not going to raise a fuss.
  19. Tessitore is the most ESPN announcer on ESPN. He starts the broadcast with a storyline and no matter what happens in the game, he sticks to that storyline. I knew before the game started that he was going to talk about Skattebo all game. If Skattebo had gotten hurt in the first quarter, Galindo would spend the rest of the game asking, "How can Arizona St continue without their star running back, the heart and soul of their offense?" He just picks one thing to obsess over and never lets it go.
  20. It needs to be postponed. You can't have 80,000 people come together a mile away from where a major terrorist attack took place less than 24 hours ago when we still don't know if this guy had any accomplices.
  21. I'd be cool with getting the Mizzou kicker here by Wednesday.
  22. There's no doubt that the NFL is much more popular than the NBA, but you have to take those numbers with a huge grain of salt, since they came from Netflix. Netflix claimed that people from over 200 countries watched NFL games on Christmas, which is a little odd seeing as the United Nations only recognizes 195 countries. So either Netflix is fudging their numbers or they're recognizing breakaway republics in Southeastern Kg-hifa-yourmom-istan as independent countries.
