Completely disagree. As you said, the evidence points in only one direction. The planet is getting warmer and both qualitative and quantitative data prove it. Now if you want to talk about the role of the government in solving the problem, then sure, that can be a political discussion. But to argue that climate change is not happening is not politics, it is pure, uncut dumbassery.
Walton was doing color for a Rockets game and Steve Francis put up a contested three early in the possession that clanged off the front of the rim. Walton said, "That was the worst shot in the history of the franchise."
Probably not his best line, but one that made me laugh and stuck with me.
My buddies and I did some really stupid shit in our early 20s (and in our late 20s, early 30s, well you get the point), but I can confidently say we never did anything as stupid as attempting a coup in Congo.
Not a bad idea. Then the Detroit and Houston teams could do endorsement deals with adult toy companies to promote a new line of Lady Pistons and Lady Rockets.
I may be misremembering but I think I read that Ernie doesn't want to leave Turner. But I'm sure he would be willing to rethink that position if his new paycheck has enough zeroes.
I just want to thank the City of Austin for sending me a text in English this morning warning me that it would be hot today followed by the same text in Spanish ten minutes later. I had planned on sitting outside in a parka all afternoon, but I might rethink that plan.
Are we going to get these texts every day until September?
My first thought was, "I would love to watch Barkley and Shaq go off on the A&M band and yell leaders". But then I realized it said playoff games and not "minor bowl games before Christmas" and got a sad.
This is the main issue. The Patriots upsetting the Rams to win their first Super Bowl with a rookie QB was cool. The Red Sox finally defeating the Yankees with an amazing comeback and then winning the World Series for the first time in forever was cool. Then the Boston teams kept winning, Bill Simmons became a douchebag, and the rest is history.
