  1. I offer happiness! James Caan doesn't offer happiness!
  2. Can someone translate this and then explain it to me like I'm a middle-aged man who only got excited about soccer because his teenage son loves it? And even though he thinks he understands what's going on he still gets lost in the technical details. But he's still loving the ride!
  3. Sweet. Messi is going to look great in verde and black.
  4. Last week she was making me a post-coitus sandwich and mentioned she was about to sign a new contract. Sorry. I meant to let y'all know but it slipped my mind.
  5. Oh for sure. But there was plenty of that in Civil War I (we should probably start calling it that, because there's going to be a II). I'm in the middle of a fantastic book, Violence in the Hill Country: The Texas Frontier in the Civil War Era. One of the main ideas is that there were plenty of Unionists in the Hill Country who were being hunted by the Confederate Army and pro-Confederacy mobs. Some of them were Unionists because they were anti-secession. Some were Unionists because the US Army did a good job of protecting them from Native American tribes and the Army bought enough food and supplies to keep the local economy humming. And some just wanted to be left the hell alone on their farm. It's a fascinating book, but it's also scary as hell, because I can see the blueprint about where we're headed in the next few years. And I'm really doing my best to stay off the ledge, but if the Supreme Court rules the way we think they will on this state legislature case, it's all over.
  6. Your Honor, I would like to enter this post as prosecution's exhibit A.
  7. What is this? A picture for ants?
  8. Finished it up last night. Has a Wes Anderson vibe for sure. So many great callbacks in the show like the jellyfish problem. And I love the repeating jokes like everyone talking at the urinal or that Leslie and Tom refer to each other by name in every sentence when they talk to each other. And for the record, yes, the Luxembourg detective would get it. However, she would have to wait until I was finished with Lakeman's wife.
  9. "Dad, how did you name me?" "Why do you ask, Vince Young Scoring a Touchdown?"
  10. Funny this came up, because I was just there last week for work. Definitely Delias. Those tamales are life-changing. I liked Palenque Grill, but I wasn't blown away. Salt on Main St was really, really good. Probably the best meal I had when I was down there.
  11. Uh, yeah, you're not watching the game. The bride or the the bride's mother will find some last-second errands or jobs for you to do.

    Burgers

Had Jewboy for the first time today. That is a tasty burger.
  13. I started them on simple calisthenics, then gradually worked them up to rudimentary game skills. And finally, advanced competitive theory.
  14. And it was posted at 1 AM. If someone asked you to describe this thread, you would just need to show this picture.
  15. Agreed. She really shouldn't be getting her honey where she gets her money. It can lead to a lot of problems.
  16. Y'all are thinking of two different instances. Termite bumped up against MM and got lube or something on his jacket. We didn't see for sure, but I assumed it was the Russian that splooged all over MM. At least I think that's what happened. We're going to need a JFK-style breakdown of that scene.
  17. Listen, Larry. I know, you know, your audience knows, and America knows that Joe Biden is the only president in history who supported my execution. That's a fact.
  18. No one of consequence. Just some fuckers from up I35.
