  1. I believe @immamac's point: They executed a shitty strategy to perfection. This is the outcome.
  2. This. It seemed to me he was in 2020. I read that Biden's people enjoyed the adulation, the experience, etc. of being president, so they did their best to hide/ignore his cognitive decline until it was no longer possible. D's did nothing strategic in 2020. A potato could have beaten Trump that year...
  3. One consolation - no more political ads. I guess the Chili's meetup is no longer happening.
  4. NSIAP - she only got 78% in Philadelphia. Lowest I can find - Kerry got 80% in 2004. FAR fewer votes than Biden. D's need to do a post mortem on this and craft a good plan for 2026. Like it or not, it's clear Harris was not a good candidate. And that die was cast in 2020, when she was chosen as the de facto successor to Biden. Biden chose to step down too late. etc. And, her plans did not resonate with voters. SMH.
  5. Voting for both is unethical and voter fraud 😊
  6. That is fucking fantastic. Over 85% is a good sign.
  7. Did not understand the possible significance of this until I looked it up. Cambria county went to Trump in 2020 68% to 31% (around 26k votes) and 67% to 31% in 2016.
  8. Yes. 538 shows: 503-495-2 Harris in latest 1000 simulations. That's a far cry from the 64% Harris predictions in Sept. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2024-election-forecast/
  9. HRC got 71.6% in 2016; Biden got 55.4% in 2020. Hope this does not portend an outcome.
  10. This. I recall a panicked look on the face of an election-day reporter in 2016 when Philly delivered under 85% to HRC. Philly is the canary in a coalmine, to an extent.
  11. The Chiefs playing the shittiest division in the whole entire NFL. them being 7-1 versus 8-0means nothing. It is far more important for Tampa to be 5-4 than 4-5 at this point. Purely talking about entertainment value. Kansas City is not very interesting at this point. Tampa Bay with Baker Mayfield is.
  12. Vegas!
  13. Dare I comment in CR this close to an election…. Is Allred good? Maybe. Don’t care. Do the “R”s deserve to be punished for letting DJT take over the party? Yes. Cruz deserves his fate for not punching DJT for calling his wife ugly and accusing his dad for being involved in the JKF assassination.
  14. It’s a race to see if he or Corso needs to be sent to pasture first. That said, let him leave on his terms. Same for Corso.
  15. Kudos to Rick for (1) still being alive (2) still being relevant (3) keeping the 35+ lady crowd out past 3p on Sat In!?
  16. I can do $2501. Just for the entertainment value on the internet.
  17. Yeah. When Erin Andrew’s is a median-level member of the Pom squad at UF…. UF ladies are (and have long been) easy on the eyes.
  18. Draft Kings shows it is now at 21. My (unscientific) approach to validating point-spreads (I am sure I stole this from someone): Take the difference in the "Predictor" from Sagarin and account for Home-Field. Doing this in normal times would yield Texas -11.7, so -11.5. Looks like Vegas is giving 10 points to (1) injuries (2) week of rest for Texas.
  19. Aggy left tackle holding on every single play
  20. Or use a service. https://poopsenders.com/
  21. A&M defense is a fucking goon squad
  22. EDIT - did not read your link, but it has all of the data below, but from April. Below is "fresher" data from the USNews site... If someone thinks UF is not a good school, they are not paying attention. Here are the USNews rankings - an ok proxy for school "goodness". Note that each of these schools geniuses and fools 18 - Vandy 30 - Florida 30 - Texas 46 - Georgia 51 - Aggy 105 - Auburn 109 - Missouri 109 - Tennessee 121 - South Carolina 132 - Oklahoma 152 - Kentucky 171 - Alabama 171 - Ole Miss 179 - LSU 189 - Arkansas 214 - Miss St
  23. Looks like it is $20.3mm "While Freeze melts on the Plains, his buyout after this season would total $20.3 million. If you think that safeguards Freeze, you don’t know Auburn," wrote Toppmeyer on USA Today. "Auburn isn’t known for a level-headed handling of coaches, but it shrewdly structured Freeze’s buyout. How so? Like this: If Auburn fires Freeze, it could spread out its financial obligations to him in monthly payments throughout the remainder of his contract, which runs through the 2028 season.
