There are more attractive out there and there are less attractive out there. A 24 year old whose primary job is to look good will likely look average or above average. Like @PittsburghTiger I find her a little scary, or at least unsettling. I also find it odd that both would be willing to make such a public spectacle of everything. There was almost no way to keep it under wraps given BB's high profile job at UNC, but sharing all sorts of shit on social media - and her being so intimately involved in his day-to-day is odd. Yeah, yeah - undefeated and all, but this is just odd. (fwiw, I am not sure I have ever written a sentence with the word "there" 4x before).

The juxtaposition of her appearance and some of the locals (she, too, is a local) in that video is strking. Genetics and socioeconomic status has some to do with it, but the the dental care diversity stood out. Guess which one is Hannah

Flight disrupting assholes Thread of Shame.

Interesting requirements to become an air traffic controller... edited to add - I think we're kinda fucked unless they incentivize this role a bit more. In my life, I've heard of exactly 1 person who was an ATC. Friend's brother is a retired air traffic controller after spending some time in the air force. He's long retired. It's super high stress and thankless. Right now, there are around 15k air traffic controllers. At $150k/year, that's around $2.25B per year to guarantee the safety of roughly 2.9 million passenger trips per day. 2.9 million passenger trips per day works out to around 1 billion trips per year in/out of US airports. A additional $3 FAA surcharge per trip could easily fix this problem. Basic Air Traffic Controller qualifications All applicants to the air traffic controller program must meet these minimum requirements: Be a United States citizen Be under the age of 31 Pass a medical examination Pass a security investigation Pass the FAA air traffic pre-employment tests, including the Air Traffic Controller Specialists Skills Assessment Battery (ATSA) Speak English clearly enough to be understood over communications equipment Have one year of progressively responsible work experience, or a Bachelor's degree, or a combination of post-secondary education and work experience that totals one year -
They both look like wasted draft picks. Shedeur holds the ball too low and always does that clutch/pump before he throws. I'm here for the entertainment...

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet

Couple of observations. 1 - Kenneth Grant is taking shit seriously. 2 - There was neither a sack nor a self sack involving Ewers. Chum for the haters. -

Unsolicited advice I have offered anyone who will listen: refuse any flight that involves EWR. It is a shitshow right now. -

Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Thread -- Jerrah the Asshat Rides Again

In games where Pickens was the leading receiver, Pittsburgh was 7-2 last year. And they were 1-2 in games he missed. Pickens + 6 for 3rd + 5th is basically recuperating the 2nd they used for him in 2022. He would not be on Pittsburgh's roster after 2025, so he likely garners a compensatory pick best case at #100. This trade will get (1) him out of the locker room and (2) the Steelers a pick around 80. -

Agree with @immamac that Quinn needs to clear out his team and start anew. Ron Slavin, his Southlake-based agent, has been certified by the NFLPA since 2004, but has only negotiated about 17 contracts in that time. Here are the ones I could find. He makes reference to Miami and Notre Dame - and the timeline. Miami was likely tampering both Quinn and Carson Beck and might have said, "we'll get $4mm to the first one to sign." Notre Dame's QB room looks a little weak right now. That said, I wonder why no NFL teams were giving "if you are there in round N, we are taking you" advice to his agent. Or perhaps he was not getting the pre-draft feedback he needed. Nothing he is saying at this point is helping Quinn. He needs to say things like, "Quinn is confident in his abilities and willing to do whatever it takes to excel at the NFL level. We believe Miami is a great place for that to start." And move on... -

Pickens is a top-quartile receiver when he is "on" and focused. When he is not, he's about as effective as I am at WR. He's a whiner and a head case most of the time. As noted, though, the Steelers had Wilson and Fields as QB. Dak is definitely superior to those guys. The Steelers QB room looks worse this year, so Pickens' bitching might have escalated. If Tomlin has lost patience with him, that should be a warning. -
They canceled my flight out of EWR for tomorrow PM. Working to reschedule to LGA

That would have been the magical, mystical triple negative - and been hypothetically grammatically correct. The original is more likely correct.

Yes. A significant portion. However, AB is still able to remain entertaining on social media. Just imagine how he’d be if his brains were not scrambled.

ABIA adjacent complaints... Does Uber now require that every driver possess a car with at least one warning light (two preferred) illuminated? Check engine, ABS, tire inflation, etc. If only one is illuminated, then brake vibration or grinding is required. Flights into EWR are delayed significantly today. EWR having runway repairs. 6a flight now 8:20. Ugh. PreCheck is becoming more annoying over time. (1) too many people have it now (2) fucking Clear breaks the line. New x-ray scanner machines are slower than before.

google the following text: when to use es for plural The machine will tell you the following (I bolded and italicized the "-x" reference below): AI Overview Learn more The suffix "-es" is used to form the plural of most nouns that end in "-s", "-x", "-z", "-ch", or "-sh". This is generally done to maintain correct pronunciation and avoid clashing with the sound of the plural "s". Here's a more detailed explanation: Pronunciation: The "-es" ending is used to ensure the plural pronunciation is distinct from the singular form, especially with words ending in sounds like /s/, /z/, /ch/, etc. General Rule: Add "-s" to most nouns to make them plural (e.g., "cats," "boxes"). Exceptions: -o: Many words ending in "-o" add "-s" (e.g., "radios," "tomatoes"), but some add "-es" (e.g., "heroes," "potatoes"). -s, -x, -z, -ch, -sh: Nouns ending in these letters/letter combinations typically add "-es" to their plural form (e.g., "foxes," "boxes," "churches," "brushes," "classes"). -y preceded by a consonant: If the singular noun ends in "-y" that is preceded by a consonant, change the "-y" to "-i" and add "-es" (e.g., "baby" becomes "babies"). -
We've all typed far too much about this, but that will not stop me from typing some more... Sanders' physical traits might place him among the top 5 QBs in this draft. In fact, he might be the 2nd best at footwork, deep passes, etc. It is a weak draft for QBs. None of us were in the interviews, but is the leaked information really any surprise? He asked teams how they are going to support him; he was unprepared for general playbook types of questions; he answered a personal call. Based on his demonstrated lack of sportsmanship, self-promotion, and finger pointing, what is being leaked about his interviews is no surprise. That alone would be a serious red flag, enough of one to push him down the draft board. Then add the family side show, and front-offices have to ask themselves, "Is the juice worth the squeeze?" Cleveland finally answered the question, "Yes, in the 5th round." The notion that there is some grand conspiracy against Shedeur or the Sanders family is absurd. These guys are running businesses and are making decisions they think will improve their businesses. Drafting a QB in the first round is an tacit message that you believe you are drafting a near-future starter. No team believed Shedeur is ready to be a starter. For some folks, that is being seen as racist, or anti-Sanders family, or whatever. Watch Daboll's interview and interaction with Jayden Daniels from Hard Knocks. It was fascinating and Daniels was impressive enough that Daboll said he was worth trading up for last year. The Giants traded up for Dart this year. Daboll, et al. believed that juice was worth the squeeze - and the cost - to get at #25. As noted previously, there are claims that Dallas had only 12 players with first round grades. Perhaps they only ranked 12 because they were picking 12th. Regardless, each team has a list of folks they are willing to (1) make a first round investment in and (2) borrow from the future to get in the first round. Shedeur was not on those lists, obviously. For many, I suspect that list contains fewer than 32 names. 32 will eventually get picked, of course. If Sanders is really as good as he, his dad and his sycophants believe, then it will be obvious and every other team will have missed out. And he'll ultimately get paid in 4 years, all while selling loads of "Legendary" swag.
