  1. What Houston does have is nice upscale areas not too far from downtown that other cities with a nice downtown area don't have. At least not as many. You have The Heights, Eado, Upper Kirby, West University, Midtown, Memorial, River Oaks. Yes, some of them overlap. That's why there's not going to be a migration to downtown even if more nice restaurants, retailers, bars are opened.
  2. Interesting this poll has TX above KY. And Pitt seems a little high after we took their best player. Are they that deep? And why no practice reports? Season is only a week away. There's FB practice reports all over the place and they have over 3 weeks.
  3. So what happens to this if they lose again this year?? How fast can they hire a million more counselors?? Does the line get blown up and shut down?? Get Help - 988 Lifeline
  4. I don't want them to suck too bad. They coulda go after a real coach. Certainly they would target Day, Kiffin, Freeman, DeBoer and probably Sark. I know, no one wants to live in Norman, but if they come up with enough $ you just never know.
  5. Hamilton McMartin should starts.
  6. I'm not 2 worried at Lockett/Ffrench. McCutcheon received the same really good WR coaching as Livingstone that most HS players don't get. Also, in a similar scheme to Sark's. He should be expected to be ahead of others. He also seems like a smart guy. The same could be said about Mosley's background. He's from Stanford and his parents went to ND. Smart and able to learn quickly were certainly expected. Lockett/Ffrench are certainly not lacking athletic talent. When they catch up knowledge wise they will be fine. But that also includes having the patience to wait their turn and not hitting the road if they don't start their Freshman year.
  7. Shit, don't even say that. We lost 2 RB's last year before the season started. Don't even mention certain names and injury in the same sentence.
  8. If you believe what Howe said Clark is already ahead of Gibson. I also read he has bigger, stronger legs. Add in he has better lateral movement than Baxter he may be 95% of Baxter can do. He's made a great recovery too.
  9. It tells you your short yardage game sucks, which is a liability. But it didn't take a genius to know that given most of the girls on the rowing team could bench more than your LG, your QB is made of glass and RB1 weighs 175 lbs.
  10. That's the thing, "that game". He only averaged 1.4 ypc against the only ranked team he played against on 20 carries, and that was skewed by a 52 yard run.
  11. I like alligators too. I think they make great boots and luggage.
  12. My thoughts too. Just ask Phillip Geiger. If you're down a TD with 59 seconds left and have to have it, go for it. But it's dumb penalties and mistakes that kept the Vandy and ASU games closer than they shoulda been.
  13. If he runs as much as he did last year I doubt he survives the season against SEC defenses.
  14. Here's my favorite donut shop. Owned by aggies.
  15. People keep forgetting that Mateer went 9 for 19 in a game last year against the vaunted Texas Tech defense. We're talking about a defense so strong they held Baylor to 59 points. Anyone who knows anything about football knows Mateer should just be given the Heisman before the season starts.
  16. Justus will be a manster. And Watson and Brevard weren't recruited just for depth. They have legitimate talent.
  17. People keep bringing up the better QB play Texas will face this year and that is true. BUT, Texas didn't face a couple of expected QB's last year due to injury and there's likely to be another one or two this year. That's just college FB. It's just a crap shoot on who it will be. Personally I'd like Hill and Simmons to knock Pavia's head off after the Texas got lucky comments last year.
  18. Dunno why dc didn't pick it up and check it's ass.
  19. Well, it reminded me of Cleveland, only worse.
  20. It's a little late now. The files have been around for years. Why didn't Biden do something years ago and maybe Dotard wouldn't be president? That's on Biden.
  21. I've been to Traverse City. If I had to live there I might go insane too.
  22. Sure, you don't know how much I want to see Arch succeed, but I don't count on anything until they prove something that really matters. Just look at Quinn. He was a great QB, but still never lived up to the expectations of the highest rated QB ever coming out of HS. Chris Simms to. I guess you could say Vince did, but it took a long time. Maybe I should be more upset with all these sports media guys creating unrealistic expectations. I'm also a little worried about 4 new starters giving him time to throw down the field. And there's always another Perriloux just around the corner.
  23. Regardless of what Arch looked like against subpar competition, it's still dumb to put Arch in the top 5 until he proves something against a real defense. Joel needs to go back to Houston and find his missing brains Kelson scattered all over the field. And, yippee, Texas gets to face the top 2 in Game 1. I just hope their new QB kinda sucks.
  24. So why didn't your kids bite it to death? Sissies?😁 Toddler bites cobra to death
