  1. From an Arizona 247 guy who was the lead reporter on a lot of the Pac 12 demise. His coach has also been mentioned in rumors so he's at least somewhat related to the search.
  2. Stoops makes 9 million now. Not even the aggies are dumb enough to match or beat that for Stoops right?
  3. In his first season they had 15 transfers in and out before going 1-11. He may want to do the same.
  4. He also mentioned on a live stream that Texas will be very selective. Then today said something about mature WRs but cleaned it up by saying in production terms.
  5. Any AD that has to go on WFAA mid search to propagate the glory of the job opening should be laughed at endlessly. I can't believe they thought that was a good idea but they continue to write their own mockery.
  6. The thing about the ags boosters is they think like message board posters and I would bet money the big moneh contingent is thinking their hire should earn the contract through incentives. They also can't pay the buyout and a big name coach so I could see a world where they hire a Fisch type guy and boast about a first of its kind incentive laden deal that will be the new norm and have all the big media fawn over the ingenious deal they just made. That's until that guy doesn't hit any of those marks or he's poached before he does and gets a big guaranteed deal from a top 5 job.
  7. The funniest part in my mind about this interview is the repeated point about being able to host playoff games in the future. Even their dreams of success only peaks at hosting a playoff game and not winning the SEC.
  8. Feels like they're gonna turn their nose up at him and hire someone else. Fisch being mentioned with Day and DeBoer feels like texags propaganda to make his name seem on par with them. Plus I'd love to hear the spin on hiring a 15-22 head coach with no SEC experience.
  9. Traylor leveraging the ags for better facilities would be the funniest possible outcome
  10. Mark Mangino is a big human does that count? It would definitely shock college football
  11. Maybe if they join forces they can finally overcome the Sun Belt.
  12. Listened to Billy on Texags radio. Here are some basic notes Lanning's total buyout is closer to $50 million all in Kiffin wants the job but they don't want him (LOL) Schumann won't be a candidate. Not on the Lanning/Smart track right now DeBoer will get a real look but not sure if they could hire him (he has a $12 million buyout). ERob could end up being a real candidate especially if they beat LSU.
  13. They are only going to make around 30 million for the first few years and they don't have knight to fill the gap. Not saying he would take the a&m job but there is a huge gap in the UW money and what the ags can offer
  14. No mention from him that this was a Boeing 737. Or that it went to Philly the next day lol https://www.flightaware.com/live/flight/HWA3315/history/20231111/2000Z/KCLL/KEUG
  15. Firing one grown man that goes by Jimbo to hiring one named Dabo is pretty spot on for the ags. And if he needs an OC Jim Bob Cooter is tan rested and ready.
  16. Not entirely but his list of contacts will at least play into who we hear gets an interview. See James Franklin and CDC in 2021
  17. A only works for Saban, Meyer, Smart and maybe Dabo if the kids buy in. Those are the types that would get kids to stay regardless of ERob staying or not. B and ERob/Durkin staying to keep the kids in place would work out if the the coach is a Traylor type. If Traylor or comparable try to bring in a new staff that doesn't have big game experience then it will be a tough 6 years in CS.
  18. Bjork has made two football hires since becoming a full time AD. At Western Kentucky in 2010 he hired Willie Taggert who was the Stanford RB coach. Side note: Jack Harbaugh was the replacement for Taggert at Stanford for the bowl. They also worded together previously at WKU in the 90s. At Ole Miss 2012 he hired Hugh Freeze after his first year as a HC at Arkansas State. He had taken over as HC at ASU after being the OC for one year. Some seem to think that he hired Kiffin at Ole Miss but that hire happened 7 months after Bjork left for College Station. The only connection there is the 2 years Durkin spent at Ole Miss. Based on his history, Bjork likes younger coaches and they don't have to have any history as a HC or even coordinator in Taggerts case. So my off the wall predication using his history of plucking Harbaugh staffs and up and comer types is Jesse Minter who is the Co DC at Michigan now. This is of course assuming that staff escapes without any NCAA penalties going forward.
  19. Paying 75 million dollars on a buyout just to hire Mike Stoops is insane.
  20. Also of note players can enter the transfer portal for the next 30 days if he is fired now.
  21. There's no other reason to rank them ahead. We have wins against 8, 16, and 25. With a top 12 ish likely CCG opponent. That clears what Oregon has done and can do on the way out. If FSU drops one though it'll all a moot point
  22. The committee is using eye test to rank right now over resume. The only two games we've played since rankings started didn't involve our starting QB. If QE comes back and we roll I think we'd have a good chance of jumping Oregon.
  23. Akinori Otsuka
  24. if anybody has an athletic sub to poat the whole thing that'd be appreciated.
