  1. Again their president will not let it happen. He would have taken that job in 2019 had she not gotten in the way. California school politics won't let that happen in this era.
  2. Not at all. Universities typically don't want to risk more controversy when they are in the middle of similar controversy. Especially if the president of the University left another University mired in athletic controversy (UNC academic fraud)
  3. If Texas can recover and go 10-3 or 9-4 with a bowl win then recruiting will be in the top 10 regardless of Arkys record the rest of the year. In the 2020 class rankings the top 10 teams had the following records: 1. Georgia 12-2 with losses to South Carolina (4-8) and LSU (15-0) 2. Alabama 11-2 with losses to LSU and Auburn (9-4) 3. Clemson 14-1 with a loss to LSU 4. LSU 15-0 5. Ohio State 13-1 with a loss to Clemson (14-1) 6. Aggy 8-5 with losses to Clemson, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, and LSU 7. Auburn (9-4) with losses to Florida (11-2), LSU, Georgia, and Minnesota (11-2) 8. Texas 8-5 with losses to LSU, Oklahoma (12-2), TCU (5-7), Iowa State (7-6), and Baylor (11-3) 9. Florida 11-2 with losses to LSU and Georgia 10. Tennessee 8-5 with losses to Georgia State (7-6), BYU (7-6), Florida, Georgia and Alabama
  4. SC is currently paying out a Billion dollars to women for a sex abuse settlement reached back in March. No way they are able to hire Meyer all things considered. https://abcnews.go.com/US/breaking-university-southern-californias-11-billion-sex-abuse/story?id=76713012
  5. SC already dropped the Urban ball and having the former UNC president who was at the center of controversy there wouldn't allow Urban to come to town anyways.
  6. Grain of salt since this was a pretty unexpected move this early but the usual suspects.
  7. Can we interest them in a gently used Steve Sarkisian?
  8. Based off the first two weeks it looks like LSU, USC, and Nebraska will be open by the end of the year. Also wouldn't be a surprise if Miami moves on from Diaz. FSU has fired Taggart after two years but will they be able to do that again if Norvell doesn't get it together? That's 4 and maybe 5 programs with national relevance (Nebraska is trying their best to lose that claim) that could come open this offseason. Should be a fun coaching search season.
  9. After Urban did we show any signs of actually interviewing anybody else other than Sark?
  10. Should have went for two there but I'll take it.
  11. From a 247 poster so obviously take with a grain of salt
  12. Makes sense to why 9.95ers have been taking up a package deal with him and Perkins
  13. I'd rather have our young QB with 1st round potential get those reps then the guy who could set the precedent that threatening to portal gets you snaps at the expense of the starter. Secondly kids these days only look at box scores and Card played well enough for a 300 yard and 4 TD day but we missed that opportunity to show recruits that our new system puts up stats.
  14. Imo he was pulled a series or two before he should have been last week. Card played well enough to put the nail in the coffin of that game
  15. Unless this turns into a blowout early I worry about the long term effects of pulling Card 2 or so series too early every week just to appease Thompson.
  16. In 2005 Dan Campbell missed 10 days after his appendix burst during training camp. He went on to play in all 4 pre season and all 16 regular season games that year. But that guy is a nut so he would have been back in the same time frame after a heart transplant.
  17. Same energy Also from FSU 2 weeks before he left
  18. They would have but he's still returning that int from the 3rd quarter.
